:::gloat:::

:D!!!!!

Edit: 10/08/06, 00:00. :::gloats some more::: And the Mets just won and made it to the NLCS. It's beautiful. :::wipes tear from eye:::

So, I noticed today that there were a LOT of people in the mall wearing Mets merchandise (I shall join their ranks tomorrow). I liked it, and it made me giddy. I wonder if that's how Yankee fans feel -- that comraderie -- every single day, without the novelty having worn off. I'm also very excited now, and don't think I'll be going to sleep for a while because of this win. I wonder again if that's how Yankee fans felt -- note the past tense on that -- when they rubbed our noses in losses. It's a good feeling, and they used to do it often. No wonder they're cocky. Oh, well. Mets fans are REAL people, and even if we do with the whole shebang, we won't let it go to our heads.

At least, not until the parade's over. I'm going, if there is one.

(Real people, like the ones who shop in my store and refuse to spend $8.50 for a stupid PEN, when you can get ten plain ones that write perfectly well for $1.29 together.)

But now there are four more wins between the Mets and the World Series, against the tougher opponent, St. Louis. It SHOULD be a good series, but with more Mets getting hurt every day (it's like we're making sacrifices to the baseball gods), it's becoming more doubtful. However, I will cheer my hardest for them until the very last game, because even if they lose the NLCS, they're still better than the Yankees.

And now for less important stuff because it has nothing to do with THE METS KICKING ASS. )
