L'hiver est arrivé! (Winter has arrived!)
I still have no idea why I'm speaking French.
Last night, I saw Orion. I said hi, remarked about how far he's come along already, and wondered how the FUCK Guillermo could miss Betelgeuse when it's right there. And if you can see a star in this light-polluted city, it's fucking bright as shit. So yesterday was my unofficial first day of winter.
Today, then, it's appropriately windy and cold (it's below freezing tonight!). Ah, yes, now I remember why winter sucks. It's not just the cold, but the ridiculously clear skies that make the nights absolutely frigid. The wind just cuts right through the bajillion layers you're wearing, and there's no preventing it. Worse for me, I lost my earmuffs somewhere in a department store. I had them on when I came in, but as I left the fitting room -- I was looking for new work shirts, and only found ONE, I cry -- I couldn't find them. My AWESOME KOALA HAT is indeed awesome, but my ears are cold, therefore I am miserable.
And Toshio is heavy when carried upon one shoulder. Went to Pratt after work and shopping today to record some lines for Erica's final project. There are only two female parts, so I hope I was able to help... I'm sure my cheering will be used in the crowd scene, at least. XD I'm a shit voice actor, I don't care what sort of encouragement Erica was giving me. It was ridiculously fun to make the makeout sounds, though. LAGHLAGHLAGHLAGHL XD
Afterwards, we managed to catch Michele, Laura, and Adrienne, and dawdle. I didn't leave until well after ten, which resulted in my getting home just before midnight. As I've got an eight-thirty orientation to work what is now this morning, I should have been in bed before I left Pratt. Not my fault. Recording ran long, and Erica got out of class at seven. :::shrug:::
Back to being out in the ridiculous cold. I couldn't even get a hot chocolate at Dunkin' because the bus was meant to come almost immediately. But I'm home, of course, and somewhat warm; I've got a thicker blanket on my bed tonight, yay, and will abuse my comforter tomorrow, I can't wait! *_* I'll need it after (my last!) class.
