Put a title here, Venus.
My internal clock has been reset; whereas I thought it was Wednesday on Tuesday, Wednesday also felt like a Wednesday (which is good), so I'm back on track. I always question Fridays, though, because I'd hate to show up in a t-shirt and jeans on a Thursday, especially one like yesterday when Derek and Huddie were randomly quite dapper. As for what I did all week, aside of yesterday, I don't really remember. And today was Friday, so I just farted around; the second highlight of the day was reconstructing the papercrafts that have fallen apart. Prussia's been the only one to stay entirely intact since I made him, which I find fucking HILARIOUS.
Yesterday was orientation, and I don't know if I mentioned it, but it was my orientation; I was on the list. XD Not that I needed it. But the thing about yesterday was my epic caffeine headache brought about by way too much Pepsi Throwback. XD I had a can on the way to the bus, along with a banana (ew, what a combination). Despite a full night of sleep, I fell asleep on the train, and figured I'd have some coffee, too, because I knew it was going to be a long night (which it was). Then, at work, I was running a list of nearly three hundred names, when John came by with a present for me: MORE SODA. So he put it on my desk, and what was I supposed to do, not drink it?
By the time I got to orientation, I was pinching the bridge of my nose and I wanted to die. XD And then there were the usual headaches associated with orientation, which, naturally, made me want another soda. I was obliged. It was awesome. Unfortunately, because the orientation started at five, I didn't leave until a quarter of ten. I'm just glad I didn't have to work from ten, because I'd've shot myself in the foot after being there twelve hours. And Andrew was there for fifteen.
I mentioned that the second highlight of today was fussing with my paperdolls (it's very slow the day after an orientation). I can't go into too much detail about the first highlight on such a public forum, but it involves something I've known about for a long time, something flat-out and utterly hilarious. The daily Admissions/Registrar staff meeting (i.e., lunch) was full of laughter and jokes and I really wish I could repeat some of it, especially because Andrew had some choice jokes.
I've learned today that
conjure_lass entertained plans of going to A"STL," which isn't actually in St. Louis this year? It's not even in Missouri, it's in Illinois? Anyway. I don't have to ask for the weekend off for Anime Boston, because it happens to fall on my spring break -- WHICH IS AWESOME -- and if I have the money saved, I'd love to go out there.... She (and
someidiot, who I haven't seen in FOREVER) is my incentive to keep my grades up so maybe I can think about it. .... Fucking school.
Someone ran into the telephone pole across the street not too long ago and got out of the car perfectly fine. This upsets me. It's Friday night, and you just ran headlong -- fucking headlong -- into a telephone pole for no apparent reason, which means you're probably drunk. I hate you for being okay. I want to hope that you lost control of the car or something equally not-your-fault, but... my faith in humanity's been sort of dashed to bits over the past year and a half, so, you can go burn in hell. :/ [/rage]
I AM STILL COUGHING AND SNIFFLING. Seems like it's on its way out, though? And Team Painting My Bedroom will meet again the final time tomorrow afternoon; it's not wrong that I want this shit done already, is it? XD
