It's not hockey!
The Mets won tonight!
I'll keep it short, because I'm exhausted. Jose Reyes went 3-for-4, and all three hits were for extra bases. Ike Davis and Jason Pridie each hit homeruns; Pridie's was the difference in the game. The Mets were off to a slow start, playing catch-up the first two innings, and falling behind again in the fifth, but they came back in the sixth and held on. Niese threw well over a hundred pitches over five and two-thirds-plus, I believe -- the scorebook is too far from me right now -- and so the game dragged on forever. The final score was 6-3.
When I went to get a warm drink -- it was chilly because it's only May and the wind made it worse -- I took my scorebook with me. The guy behind me in line was impressed that I was keeping score even as I was waiting for food.
(But the Canucks have a chance to advance tomorrow, as do the Sharks on Sunday, each in their home cities. Boston successfully swept Philadelphia in Beantown. YAY!)
Going to bed now. I may or may not head up to the Cloisters for some photoshoots tomorrow afternoon. I think I'm too tired to make a proper decision.
