NYCC, Day One.
Not particularly interesting.
Requested a water cooler for the Speaker lounge. Changed (took forever). Noticed a random spot on my pants (it's light brown, perfectly circular and on my left hip, what?). A lot of people were baffled by the cosplay (but I bet there'll be some Yankees walkin' around next year). The girl who drew the Mets fanart I bought last year was there, and Es and I made her shit herself. Commissioned a Posey/Lincecum piece for Caitlin. Looks good so far!while i'm talking baseball, oh shit, the brewers lost again and are now facing elimination! :O
Just... hung out. Not so stellar. Janette was struck down and wound up in the hospital. She was discharged and she's all right, but "they told me to lay off the fatty foods and beer, and my inner Prussia was like 'NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!'" Not saying too much, since she's entitled to her privacy. But she's all right, as I said; she even made it back to the con, the crazy woman.
New Hetalia sketches posted today: Halloween with a fairytale flavor. I almost wish I had an extra forty bucks and hadn't gone to the con today. I'd've gone thrift store-shopping and come up with the fastest cosplay ever. I ... kinda wanna do it for Hetalia Day next week. Meh, we'll see if the trip wears me out or not.
In the meantime, sleep. Getting to the con 'round noon tomorrow, even though there's still nothing to do. Guillermo had a cute idea: Occupy Comic Con and protest how it's shitty and not like the old NYAF or BAAF (Big Apple Anime Fest). Why didn't we think of this sooner? I'm no good at coming up with witty slogans on the spot.
