It's the good kind of tired!
So yestertoday was my first shoot for FF vs. KBB. It was grand, lemme tell you!
I woke up around eight, but it was kind of hot in my room last night, so my hair was poofy. Not good when it was supposed to be stick straight. I was very angry because I knew there was no way I could get it manageable in time. I wanted to cry, but I put on the rest of my costume and tied my hair back into a ponytail, figuring that Rinoa would have to suffer a new hairstyle.
I showed up around ten, just in case there was something I could help out with, because I knew Mario was going to be shortstaffed. He didn't need my help, really, so I just sat around reading my grammar book until more people showed up. Around noontime we went to get pizza and soda -- FIVE DOLLARS for two two-liter bottles! Ridiculous! I hate Manhattan! -- to feed the masses. The pizza was really gross; it was ten kinds of greasy, and the cheese just sort of slid off of the bread.... The soda, expensive as it was, was good. And so was the water until we ran out, but I digress.
When the girl playing Aeris showed up, I think her name is Kerri?, she saved me. She brought an ENTIRE Rinoa costume with her, necklace, duster, and omg a wig. She saved my butt TWICE. I borrowed the wig and will return it to her at NEXT, but I made sure that the first thing I did when I got home yestertonight, after taking off my boots and rubbing my feet, was put on my necklace. ^_^ Now I can't forget it like I did this morning. I nearly flipped out.
So we started filming. There were a lot of good takes, so we had time for a few "just for fun" takes, too. BERNSTEIN! The fighting was so much fun! There were eight FF characters and two Persocoms vs. Dr. Cube and five of his Minions. One of the Persocoms and I attacked a Minion, but then, a twist that I shall not reveal! ^_^ It was great, though, pretending to beat the crap out of Alex R's brother, and tripping him and suchwise. It was also fun to take a couple of hits. And it wasn't just Eddie I beat up! I got to stomp on _____ and pull _____'s hair! Way fun.
I also took some pictures of us goofing around and of our last positions during the fight.
The Cube Sunflower -- made out of stickers we cut up to have logos on the Minions.
Group Photo!
The rest were all vertical and I forgot to rotate them and don't feel like doing it now. X_X
Hung out with Chris and Steve after the shoot; we had time to kill before their train left. It was fun hanging out with them for that hour, just relaxing. During that hour, we saw Flava Flav walk into TGIFriday's. We were like "o_O Whoa." and just sort of stared. XD Took the train home, killing my feet, and... that's about it. At least I get to sleep in tonight; my bit's not until 3:30 tomorrowday!. And, maybe, if I have the time, make it to Ted's annual Memorial Day BBQ. I'll have to keep my fingers crossed and bring a change of clothes, or at least an extra shirt. ^_^;;
Okay here's how it goes. List 5 reasons why you are a dork. And make them good reasons. Justify them. Explain them. Be loud and proud about how big of a dork you are! Then pick the 5 biggest dorks you know and have them do the meme.
1. Stereotypical nerd stuff: asthma, glasses, inhaler, style of dress, good at math, band class, the fact that I lacked a serious significant other until I was eighteen.... And so on and so forth.
2. I just gave one of my friends a walkthrough of the first dungeon of Ocarina of Time. From memory. On top of that, I can find every last thing in that game (skulltulas, upgrades, equipment, heart pieces), and A Link to the Past, from memory.
3. Aside from video games, my other hobbies aren't exactly in with the in-crowd. The popular and cool kids never cosplay (why just today Rinoa was parading around 6th Ave...). They never knit. They never write fanfics. They don't study GRAMMAR, of all things, in their free time. They don't waste time on forums. And so on and so forth.
4. There is no number 4.
5. omgimsuchadork. That's a nice summary, I think. I'm not so good at explaining it. My dorkiness is more of a "you have to be there and see it in action for yourself" sort of thing.
