Schedule, June 11-17, and other stuff.
First off, next week's schedule is as follows (week is Monday to Sunday):
Mon 6/11: OFF
Tue 6/12: 9:30-4:00
Wed 6/13: 9:30-3:30
Thu 6/14: 9:30-3:30
Fri 6/15: 9:30-4:00 (PAYDAY OMFG)
Sat 6/16: OFF
Sun 6/17: OFF
I think I missed this week's: I close tomorrow, open Friday, and have got the rest of the week off. Saturday morning, I've got a meeting, though. BLECCH.
I'm almost solid on closing paperwork! Morning paperwork's easy; I had Anthony show me, and Sara reinforced what I'd learned. Lee Fairy (that's her real name, omg, I'm jealous!) was quite impressed that I knew it all. I close again tomorrow and will probably see if I've got it down; Friday morning, I know I'll be awesome. Now I just need to work on remembering where we keep which watches.
I like my new coworkers, too. I feel much more comfortable with them than I did most people from GameStop (read: everyone except Rani). Still, nothing will top my Sanrio girls. Well, the ones from MY store, anyway (read: fuck you, Times Square). ♥
School news: I got an evaluation of my transfer credits today. I'll copy the list so you can see, and tell me if my suspicion is justified:
MU 110 - Intro to Music
MU 141 - Jazz: An Intro (this was a 300-level course at Stony Brook, by the way)
MU 210 - Elm Sght-Rdr Ear
MU 241 - Mus Thry Kbd Hrm 1
MU 242 - Mus Thry Kbd Hrm 2
MU 311 - Cls Instr Piano 1
Credits Transferred: 14.0
Um.... okay? Where's Latin American History (I believe the DEC at SBU was called "Western Civilization after 1600")? Where's Chemistry? WHERE IS MATH?! Fuck you, QCC, if you're telling me my CALCULUS and LINEAR ALGEBRA don't fucking transfer over! It's all music? Um, I took MORE than just music. I won a $250 award freshman year that says, "Hey. This Venus chick is AWESOME at math!" Where are my credits?!
I knew some of them wouldn't transfer over (Japanese, NOOOOOOO). It also says in an accompanying letter that a maximum of thirty credits transfer. Fourteen is WELL under thirty. Where are my other sixteen (see, I told you I could do math)? :::headdesks repeatedly::: I see much telephoning tomorrow and the near future. I HATE talking on the phone with non-friends. D: Worst of all, I have to run through all this nonsense before I can even think about registering for classes: classes that will be full and impossible to get into by the time I'm eligible. JOY.
On to happier things. My parents think they're being cute. They're celebrating their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary by renewing their vows on Fathers' Day. Though I was at the REAL wedding, I have not earned amnesty, and must attend this one as well. You know what that means: spiteful, agnostic Venus stuck in church for upwards of ninety minutes. In the morning. On a weekend. WITHOUT COFFEE. But they're my parents, so I'll suffer through it. They're just lucky I love them.
And dammit, if there's anyone who deserves to catch the bouquet, it's me. That's my MOTHER, dammit, and I'm her FIRST kid. I'll slice a bitch. XD
Olua, Marvin's bite has healed well (and my finger's gone back to normal size). Just so you don't worry about my catching, like, rabies, or something. XD I can do just about everything normally, too. Hurray.
I NEED to go to the post office and Michael's tomorrow and/or Thursday. Seriously. BLEH!
