A Sword Has No Strength

So Bradley's becoming quite rude. I went to the kitchen to make dinner this evening and while I was standing around waiting for water to boil, he decided he wanted to act like he hadn't seen me all day and DEMANDED to be petted. It's cute when he waits expectantly but patiently, wags his tail and puts his chin on your leg, but this time he bumped me with his nose, put his paw on my foot while I was looking away, and then pawed at my leg. No, he got in trouble after that. I love him, but that's pushing the boundaries of acceptable behavior.

I got a reddit Secret Santa match today so hopefully the card I'm making will be appreciated~ ♥ Gonna try to get the design done tonight and the supplies tomorrow, as it has to be in the mail by Monday. IF YOU WANT A DECEMBERTIME CARD TOO, you can leave your address here. Hint.

Theresa sent me PKMN Crystal in the mail toda so maybe I'll get that soon and play the crap out of it. I know I brought it on myself but I'm starting to get pretty tired of Sapphire.

Still no word on R. A. Dickey, and I hear "Friday" being tossed around a lot in NHL players-and-owners-only (i.e., no Bettman or Fehr) discussions. :S

Working on the ichiP! tumblr, which for now will just be all the videos slowly reposted over the next sixish weeks -- I guess I'll include pictures eventually -- and another Mets game tomorrow. They're playing the Marlins, which means Jose's coming back to Citi Field, and I can't wait to see the tribute and how the crowd receives him! *A* Going hella early to make sure I get in on time! Mmmm, three ballgames in a month, I rather like this (and since I found out about that student ticket price, Iiiiiiiii'm gonna abuse the fuck out of it).

I should do my laundry. And some sewing. Hmm. :|a

While I was kept rather busy at work today (wanna piss me off? Give me fifty of the same things to do, but piecemeal), I've done nothing since getting home. Rather, I've done a lot of one thing, and that thing is sleeping. Since six or so, I've slept about four and a half hours. It's eleven. I'm bored and I have nothing to do and I'm feeling mopey and lonely, so sleep is the best fix of all three of those.

I've been relatively flying through A Clash of Kings. Now that I have a better picture of what's going on in my mind, it's not so boring. I'm now second (of two) in the queue for The Omen Machine, so I need to read faster! Hopefully, I get a lot of that accomplished tomorrow. Not looking forward to it at all. Just gonna keep telling myself that in twenty-four hours, I'll be back home and comfortable. Holidays keep getting worse and worse and I would rather have some teeth pulled. Should look into getting that mini fridge for next month, and a rope ladder so I don't have to leave through the house (THIS IS HOW BAD I AM).

So it looks like ichiP! and P*P are going to collab on Munasawagi Scarlet for AnimeNEXT. As it was my suggestion, I'm pretty damn excited. I don't know how we're going to work this out, and I should probably start sketching it up just to do it. At times, it hits me: OMG BERRYZ KOUBOU but other times, I'm pretty indifferent because chances are I'm going to miss them just like I do everyone else, and whatever ichiPeach! (which is what I call us in my head, because Paradise*Pantsu is a BAD IDEA) winds up doing will be just another show. All my panels will be scheduled during Berryz' shit, watch (though if they don't post group rates soon, I'm gonna prereg alone. Not like I won't get my money back). :V

Here's where jennybenz's meme runs out; rather, it has one question left, but I'll save that for next week. Question that I'm snatching from the other meme is 20. Who has the best rivalry? I don't know too much about other rivalries around the NHL (though Leafs/Habs seems like it would be fun if I were a fan of either team Toronto (because ew Montreal)), but here's what I do know:

Speaking of the Rangers, they fell 2-1 to Florida tonight (Canucks are winning 2-0 after two, though!). Okay, so I guess our next seven-game run will start on Friday. We've got, um... awwww, Washingto-- dammit, Philly on Saturday?! D: The third game is against the Penguins, and while I didn't include them in the rivalry bit, I can't wait to beat them: Crosby's back, so I hear, and it's always fun to make everyone's favorite princess cry. >D

So, maybe I'll listen to the third period, maybe I'll read a little more. I won't eat because I'm not hungry, but I'll certainly be back in bed before midnight. Just... continue ignoring me, it's okay. I'd rather you did; it's not like I'm not used to it.

•Spent way more time than I should have trying to re-cut one of the songs for the show, but Laura and I got it eventually. Augh. Music's all set, though!
•Knitted a little bit. Scarf is now eighteen inches long. Only another seventy-eight to go! X_X
•Work is busywork.
•Enjoyed some of the baseball tonight: watching Ryan Howard strike out and the Phillies lose is always fun. And then Ryan Braun's aggressive baserunning in the first inning of the Brewers/Dbacks game was awesome. But yeah, Game Fives EVERYWHERE.
•Sent out some messages. Slowly crossing things off my to-do list. Very slowly.

Heading to bed much later than I had hoped, but still relatively early. Enjoyed the sleep last night, so I'm looking forward to that again.

OKAY SO I AM SUPER EXCITED because not only do we get to do our show on a Saturday, but it's not during the masquerade and it's on the Anime Stage! This is, like, everything I've wanted. ♥

The slot is for an hour, but we'll probably wind up doing about forty minutes or so. Not only will we eat up time inviting people on to dance with us (hopefully), but we wanna hang around and chat and not be unceremoniously booted like '09. Man, that was really crappy. ;a;

Matsuri was great, and I wish you had all been there! ♥ The writeup for Matsuri and Costume-Con will be in a later post, but the videos just went up so I wanted to make sure I shared them before I forgot.

Costume-Con, by the way? *shrug* Eh. Kinda sucked. I wouldn't go back, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else. More drama tomorrow, I suppose.

I fit Erica's dress today, had a Skype conference with her and Laura. Practice and final fitting Thursday, Laura is spending the night so we can hit up Costume Con from here on Friday. Did a little dansu. Erica's dress is hemmed and the belt loops are almost added -- I was too nervous to sew when the Canucks game went into overtime -- the trim is going to go on next and then the zipper. I'll get to the neckline tomorrow, I suppose. She's so lucky hers is squared! Mine is a pain in the ass.

Found a crochet pattern for Finland's hat; it's good. I have to rework it a little because my needle and yarn are smaller than the pattern calls for, but NBD; should only take two or three hours (I have to go slowly or I'll make my stitches too tight, or worse, lose count). So that'll be settled for North, which is good, after I fix my shirt. The edges are fraying.

That's it. I will be incredibly fidgety at work in the morning.

My dirt candle is pretty awesome. It smells like damp earth in my room, which is weird. Gotta say, though, this thing liquefied really fast (and I have trouble believing that "liquefied" is spelled correctly when the verb is "liquify"). Looks like I've got plenty more hours on it, though.

Back to work on Erica's dress. Only another two hours before I have to get a wink of sleep.

Oh, Game of Thrones whores: where can I find the second episode on the blagotubes? I was kind of driving through Connecticut when it aired on TV.

Erica's got off work tomorrow so I'mma schlep down there with everything after work to see what can be done. We just might pull this off if she can do some work on her own thing while I try to figure out mine (not to mention that I need her to help me hem. Hemming comes first, looking at Laura's, and then everything else, so I'm stuck for the moment). I hate all-nighters, and I will have them for the next ten nights (probably. Yes, even at the cons. I will stay up and sew by hand if I must).

I need to pack for Boston; I don't even know what I'm wearing yet. ASDFGHJKL I need a third thing. ... Wait, the Red Sox are in Los Angeles this weekend? Are we sure it's Anime Boston? They always play the Yankees or Mets at home over Anime Boston....
