So Bradley's becoming quite rude. I went to the kitchen to make dinner this evening and while I was standing around waiting for water to boil, he decided he wanted to act like he hadn't seen me all day and DEMANDED to be petted. It's cute when he waits expectantly but patiently, wags his tail and puts his chin on your leg, but this time he bumped me with his nose, put his paw on my foot while I was looking away, and then pawed at my leg. No, he got in trouble after that. I love him, but that's pushing the boundaries of acceptable behavior.

I got a reddit Secret Santa match today so hopefully the card I'm making will be appreciated~ ♥ Gonna try to get the design done tonight and the supplies tomorrow, as it has to be in the mail by Monday. IF YOU WANT A DECEMBERTIME CARD TOO, you can leave your address here. Hint.

IT WAS IN THE 60S (~15-17C) THIS WEEK. *ヮ*

Theresa sent me PKMN Crystal in the mail toda so maybe I'll get that soon and play the crap out of it. I know I brought it on myself but I'm starting to get pretty tired of Sapphire.

Still no word on R. A. Dickey, and I hear "Friday" being tossed around a lot in NHL players-and-owners-only (i.e., no Bettman or Fehr) discussions. :S

MAYBE we'll post videos from NYCC this week? -A- Laura found a video of all the Berryz stuff from AnimeNEXT, though!

Catch-up.

Okay, so, the Mets game on Sunday. Long story short, it was a whole bunch of me pulling the stubborn mule who is my father along, but we enjoyed what we could of the game. We had to leave in the eighth inning to beat the crowd -- on account of Dad's bad knee -- so of course the Mets tied it in the ninth! They went on to collapse completely in the twelfth though; going back to the eighth of the month, they've lost twelve of their last thirteen (swept by the Braves, swept by the Dodgers, and swept by the league-leading Nationals twice), and dropped below .500 for the first time all season (they're currently four under). Fucking yikes.

What was worse was getting carted all around Queens.... Augh. So even though he made a fuss to get out the door, Dad stopped halfway down the walk because he got a message: someone at his Legion post died and they were having a wake that night. But he stared at the message FOREVER. Um, excuse me? Weren't you just rushing me out of the house and now you wanna take your time? Rude. So after the game, because of the high volume of cars, there were traffic officers directing. Makes sense, and I wasn't fazed. Dad, naturally, started whining.

I mean, I get it, Dad. You're old and set in your ways. But shit, did you really think there weren't going to be traffic cops? It's not like you've never driven to a sporting event before.

So we got directed onto a certain highway (which was the only way to go), and Dad immediately got off, turned around, and went on a different highway (that had heavier traffic). We actually went down, around, and back up, when it would have been easier to stay on the first highway, and come down a tad. But no, that's far too logical, and I was "mouthing off" for having suggested it! And so we get to the Legion. He said he had to get one thing, so it should have been an in-and-out deal, right? Nope! Forty minutes in there, and I couldn't stay because the people inside were smoking. I had to sweat my ass off in the car (because the AC was being weird. WTF it's literally a brand-new car) instead, but at least I got to listen to the game on the radio?

Should have stayed at the game by myself. Not that I could read that mangled mess I tried to call my scorecard!

Dad's not having his surgery this week, by the way. He went to the doctor last Monday and everything was fine, but that night, he started feeling pain in his abdomen. Went back to the doctor and WHOOPS he's got gallstones, so his gallbladder needs to come out before they can fix up his knee. *sigh* Poor Dad.

Then on Monday, one of my favorite Rangers got traded (I have no bromances left. I guess Ike and Dan will have to do?). Augh, and to a Western Conference team, too, so I'll almost never see him! Later that night, I had an awful headache. Came out of nowhere and didn't quit. I was down for the count. It must have carried over into yesterday because even though I felt better physically, I was not in the mood to do anything at all. I was mopey for no reason: nothing interested me, I didn't even eat. Glad that episode's over, though.

Today, cleaning my room and starting a card game project (oh it's so lame) were on the agenda. Tomorrow, I'll start out with a trip to the bank (my credit card is due, and I need money for the con besides), and then I'll finish packing. I'm not really bringing anything fancy except for Liechtenstein; really, I plan on just bumming around in the condo all weekend when I don't have to buy things or check out Laura's panel. ... I should get my schedule together tomorrow, shouldn't I? Es is picking me up around seven, and we're driving straight down. We should get to the condo around midnight, maybe before with a little luck.

Matt's getting married in less than three weeks. ... Wow, that was a surreal sentence.

I promise I'm not neglecting anyone who's left reading this blog, I just really have nothing interesting to say (and then you get digests like this that make me seem a liar, lol). Sorry!

Article. Copied this entry from my tumblr~ *ahem*

Nadia Comăneci was my first sports hero. I don’t remember how she came to be held in such high esteem — because 1976 was a good half-dozen years before I was born; my parents hadn’t even met yet — but … I kinda don’t care. XD I used to be in a gymnastics program when I was a kid, and I used to fly on the bars (I guess that’s how I heard her name?), and I wanted to be just like her.

Surprise, I wasn’t. XD Actually, I had to drop out of the program because my parents couldn’t afford it (and I’m not saying I had an unhappy childhood, or that we were terribly poor, but it’s just a shame that my parents didn’t have much disposable income to keep me enrolled in all the things I wanted to see and do; I was a very active child: always trying new things, always exploring), but I never stopped loving gymnastics (cheerleading and dance aren’t the same, man), and Nadia never stopped being my hero.

I saw this article in the sidebar of another about slow-pitch softball (which I also love and got to play. Fortunately, I got to play for several years, but unfortunately, I can’t hit my way out of a wet paper bag lol) and I nearly lost all my shit. XD Funny how some things stick with you your entire life.

Didn't start off that great, with Annie being four and waking me up earlier than I'd intended, and then I loafed around but:

•I'm getting work done on the dress. I probably won't finish before my self-imposed deadline, but I'll be most of the way there. I have to bust my ass tomorrow, which should be easy, since the gardener will wake me up at ass o'clock, and I have to go back to 39th St. for ichiP! fabric -- we need Genki capes, after all -- aaaand yeah. But that's getting ahead of myself.

•Finally got some medicine for this stupid eczema, so maybe I won't look diseased at the wedding this weekend and I won't be all self-conscious.

•I got my GS Lifetime Membership card in the mail today!

•The Mets won, 3-1 over Milwaukee.

•Even better, the Rangers beat the Devils 3-0! Now, in fairness, the second goal shouldn't have happened, but hey, if the refs are going to give us a break for once, I WILL TAKE IT.

Lundqvist made ... I think it was 31 saves? in a 2-1 win over Ottawa at the Garden to advance to the Eastern Conference Semifinals. :D Marc Staal and Dan Girardi with the goals: defensemen! Daniel Alfredsson scored Ottawa's goal, and you know what, I'm glad he did. I like Alfie a lot, and I hope I didn't just watch his last game.

Also, I made an ichiP! cake for our anniversary. It's strawberry flavored! And I screwed up the H a little bit and it kinda looks like a 五 but since it's our fifth, that's okay! XD I'll throw in some shitty anime dansu for lulz:

Maybe -- I hope -- one of you can give me a hand. Uninstalling and reinstalling the browser worked, and now I can derp on Facebook to my heart's content. Huzzah! But...

The New Tab page is my home page, and I've got all my Most Visited sites up there. But they're not in the order that I had them before, certainly not in the order that I've visited them.... And you can't pin them or unpin them anymore, or move their places around. If I could do that, there'd be no problem! But I've been trying to fix this for hours -- and carefully visiting sites one at a time, and repeatedly so they would stay in order -- but nothing's working.

Not to mention that F6 still does not highlight the entire address bar. FRUSTRATING.

Help?

(I can use the Speed Dials extension, but is there anyway I can get the dials more centered vertically?)

FUNNY YOU SHOULD ASK, LIVEJOURNAL. Look what I found on imgur today, you guys:

This is what I would look like if I were better at being a girl, or, as I posed to Theresa, she's the ichiP! love child: me, but with Erica's color and Laura's tits.

ANYWAY. I finished the knitwork on my scarf today. It was hell enough to finish while watching the Rangers game -- more on that -- but I got it done. :D I think I'm only going to cut the pieces for the fringe and actually work on it tomorrow.

So the Rangers lost last night in the shootout to New Jersey, which, you know, sucks. It was enough to keep us in first place over Boston, but just barely. Tonight, the Rangers were up in Buffalo, and not only were both teams in need of a win, but they were both hungry for it. And with a pumped-up Ryan Miller and three-days'-rest Henrik Lundqvist in net, it was going to be a good game. And it was. Some craaaazy defense from both sides sent the game to a shootout, but in the end, Captain Cally brought it home for New York. We've got a little lead on Boston, and a hair's breadth between us and Detroit, but yeeeaaaaaaaaah, number one once again. :D

I was looking through my old pictures on Facebook a few days ago, and I got angry when I made it to the pictures from Hetalia Day. In my anger, I ordered a cheapsies megaphone from Amazon, and it showed up today. As if I weren't loud enough, right? But as I don't wanna break any more clipboards, I got it. COME AT ME, BROS.

So Guillermo sent me a link a few hours ago, and it was an old commercial. Cue my looking through the related videos of related videos of related videos for some of my favorites. '80s and '90s children, you're welcome:

This way to the rabbit hole. )

What are some of your favorite commercials from when you were kids, flist?

Aaaaaand this morning I had a Berryz Koubou dream. Chinami, Momoko, and Maasa were in it. Chinami thought she was all incognito and unrecognizable, but I saw her! The conversation started in Japanese, but she decided she wanted to practice her English a little, and so we switched (and she was really good, lol). Then Momo and Maasa walked in and Momo was complaining about something and dramatically threw herself on a bed, face-down (she didn't even notice me or Chinami), while Maasa just kinda looked at her funny and hung out, sitting on the edge of the bed. I think Momo fell asleep after a while.

I don't even know where we were. It was a gray room, painted drywall, with a bed in the corner -- but a large bed, maybe queen-sized? -- a metal or plastic folding table with six wooden chairs around it across the room, a wooden door that opened outward, and a small picture on the wall in a wooden frame. There was a naked lightbulb above the door, but it was very bright, and I couldn't see if it stuck out of the wall or if it hung down; incandescent or CFL. I couldn't see what the picture was, either, but I think it might have been a painted landscape. There were no windows, and there was a dude in a suit observing. I don't know if he was supposed to make sure I didn't fangirl over the girls or what. I like how the description of the room is longer than the description of the dream.

Mom: Venus, are you going to be here tomorrow?
Me: No, actually, I have to go to work.
Mom: Oh, well, if you see Dad come in with the groceries, help him.
Me: ... But I'm going to be at work.
Mom: I didn't hear that part.
Me: That was all that I said!

It's not me, right? It's everyone else that's stupid? I'm just wondering, because I like to think one occurrence is chance, two is coincidence, and three is a trend, but this is the third one. It's not me, right? I just wanna make sure.

Some interesting things I found on the internet. One, then ten colleges with the least happy students, as determined by the Princeton Review. I wasn't surprised to see a few of the military schools on this list, but I fell out of my chair laughing at number ten.... (pssst, that's where I work.)

Also, those giant flea-things that you had to kill to get the Tears of Light in Twilight Princess? Yeah, those are real (seriously, trigger warning, it's a giant bug, and if you're freaked out by bugs, you won't like it, I promise you).

This happened today and I had no idea until I was on my way home and I got caught in it. Not so much "caught in it," since I wasn't carried downtown by the mob, but more like "I had a tough time trying to figure out how to cross Broadway with the march and all the cops not letting people through." I saw a family (they looked like tourists, the poor things) sneak their way through, so I followed closely behind them.

I figured out the hand thing for Munasawagi (mostly. I think)! This is mostly right, it was just hard to tell what goes on which counts. I know what to do now, it's just a matter of getting my body to do it. Speaking of dancing, there's also this. If I could speak a lick of Korean and didn't wanna be imprisoned for five months ("home school"? But I'm thirty!), I would totally give this a go. I might half-ass it just for the hell of it. I got nothing to lose except time I'd be wasting on the internet anyway, right?

ARYAAAAAAAAA~ I'm glad she actually cut her hair because the wig she wore in S01E10 was atrocious (please continue to be awesome, Maisie).

Hmmm, feels like I'm missing something... :|a Rangers won (3rd in the league! Minnesota and Pittsburgh have played quite a few more games, though), coming back from a goal down in the first, 5-3. Canucks are down two at the end of one, without Mason Raymond, because the paperwork to get him back on the team didn't go through in time? So I hear. What nonsense!

Finally, it's December 1, so it's Decembertime card time!! If you'd like a card, please leave your address in the comments (they're screened, of course), along with your preference of holiday (a religious one or a New Year's one or general Decembery goodness), and I'll be happy to send you one (Cherry, I've already got yours; I'm actually putting your gift in the mail tomorrow)! ♥

P.S. This "post every day" thing is a tough habit to break; expect me to spam your feed for at least half of the next week. XD

The short story: I went to the Intrepid with Es, Leigh, Jet, and Jolley, and didn't get home until one in the morning. I made that phone call from Leigh's house.

The long story. )

I... didn't have much fun, no. I should have stayed home, but I'm a selfish bastard. As for today, I slept through most of the day. I started A Clash of Kings (I'm only at the second chapter; the first is pretty much what happened to Arya in episode 10 of GoT), and worked on my Canucks scarf a little more, but my skein of blue ran out and the new one doesn't match (no dye lot my foot). It's only noticable if you look at it, not at a glance, but still, you know? And I would scrap what I've already done, but it's like eighty rows so no. XD I just ... have to find some that matches better.

TWO DAYS OF HOCKEY MEME SINCE I MISSED YESTERDAY:
17. Favorite hockey moment Late in the '10-'11 season, I was at MSG for Rangers v. Canadiens. If they kept playing as they were, both teams would find themselves in the playoffs, but it was unclear where they would wind up. After the first period, the Rangers were winning 5-1 (the final was 6-3), and I went for food and drinks during intermission. The heckling. Dear god, the heckling. There were these two dudes standing next to the concession line I was on, holding out their phones to all the red jerseys that passed. "Hey, are you okay? Do you wanna call home?" and "Do you know what they said Montreal's chances of winning this game were?" "No, what?" "FIVE TO ONE!" o/*high5*\o

they deserved it though. bastards were sneering at us in our house. how do you say gtfo in french?

LKSDJFLKSDJFLKSJDF FUCKING MONTREAL BREAKING OUR STREAK THOSE BASTARDS

18. Have you ever played a hockey video game? No. I'm pretty sure I would have no idea what to do. I don't even play baseball video games, and I know for damn sure I would know what to do there!
venusplz: (Default)
Rangers lost tonight, for the first time in three weeks, against Montreal. As if losing to Montreal wasn't bad enough, they got shutout, 4-0. Augh. I didn't see any of the goals, but Biron looked to be on his game when I did see him making stops. I didn't see the Ranger offense doing much of anything, so that might've been it. Sigh. Montreal, man. :/ I mean, they straight-up lost, too, it's not like they managed a point. They got their asses handed to them.

Anyway. I've been bumming. Worked on my Canucks scarf, tried making that pumpkin hot chocolate thing (soy milk was a horrid idea), and caught up on Epic Meal Time. Dude, it's been ages since I've seen that shit, and it's still hilarious. Can I... can I just touch Harley's beard? *_*

16. RANDOM HOCKEY INTERLUDE (post whatever you want that's hockey related) Another question from the other meme: Favorite example of fan support. ♪So I was drivin' 'round town for Anime Boston, and I's like "Canucks rule!"♪ Seriously, the real song came on the radio, and I started singing the Canucks fan version. Es was shushing me, saying I shouldn't be too loud. "Calm down, the only way the Bruins see the Canucks is if they BOTH get to the Stanley Cup Finals. NO1CURR" I know it was still just the first round and I was talking out of my ass, but I think I might have jinxed us. but that dude i saw on sunday for two seconds had a really sweet keyblade /confession
venusplz: (Default)
Woohoo! I've just got to do the fringe, which I will add after I do this entry and get some tea. I finished all the work on it last night, but I was very slow going this afternoon. I also went to the post office to mail my cousin a package, I ate, I generally dawdled. But the scarf is nyeh from being done.

Dad also says that he's having the cable company investigate why our internet doesn't work in the mornings (the past couple of days, it's been really crap before 11 AM, but fine after that). While they're here, the cable will also be moved from my brother's room down to mine. Which is great because now I can watch sports and other cool TV shows without bothering anyone and further hole myself in my bedroom (all I need is a fridge and a hotplate and I'm set). Problem is, there's isn't quite space here for a television. I wonder if they can just bring the cable down without setting anything up and then we can rig it later.

Wooooo, I love it when the trains pass so fast that they shake the house. That's part of why I didn't realize we had an earthquake in the summer: I'm so used to that feeling!

11. How would your favorite book/TV/movie hero react at a hockey game (playing or spectating)? Okay, so he's not my faaaaavorite, but this question's a good excuse for this.

YEEEEEES BUFFALO CAME BACK TO BEAT MONTREAAAAAAAAL! Good god I love seeing the Habs lose. :D I hope you get better and come back soon, Ryan. ;A;

YAY THE ENTRY FONT IS BACK TO NORMAL

Oh, hi, where are my manners? Happy Veterans Day and Remembrance Day. ♥ And as for 11/11/11, guess who was on the 11th stitch of the 111th row of some knitting at 11:11:11 this morning? And guess who got inhalers from the marvelous beautiful person known as Jet? And guess who's written only 3454 words in her journal this month (nearly a quarter of them recapping Sunday's game) i wonder if i can keep it under 10k? YEAH~

So today, I managed to make it into the city with Katie... and Shannon and Greg. OKAY :V

We went to the thrift store next to Halloween Adventure, and found a few things there. I bought a pair of jeans. I bought a pair of jeans, which is a huge development. I'm so picky when it comes to buying pants (not to mention difficult to fit) but I finally have a pair of full-length, wide-enough-leg, COMFORTABLE jeans. Sure, I've got to cuff the ends a lot, and I need to wear a belt with them (augh), but I have jeans. And they were only four bucks. *_* Katie bought a pair of ears at Halloween Adventure for her Mido cosplay, and as we were leaving, she pointed to a bucket of bats and said "Keese." For some reason, it broke me to a million pieces.

(There was a bathroom scale in one of the shops; fully clothed -- sneakers, sweater, jeans, hoodie -- (and granted this isn't the best time for me to weigh myself), I was 133.8 lbs (nearly 61 kg). That is disgusting, and I should lose about ten pounds. I know I'm almost thirty, and I know I'm not nearly as active as I used to be, and I know I'm not fat, but still.)

Dad's scarf is coming along. I made a lot of progress this morning and early afternoon, and hopefully I can get some work in when I'm listening to the game later, after I finish Katie's things for tomorrow, even though watching the post-game set me back some.

HERE BE HOCKEY )

Okay, time to go do things because seriously. And in twelve hours: pancakes, life-size Marioing in Zelda cosplay, and ramen. Life is beautiful! 8D

•Hey artfag friends, what's it like drawing a penis? I mean, like, drawing a for-real penis, not one that's meant to be silly (e.g., Adri's Sophistipenis). Do you giggle every time? Do you also giggle drawing butts and boobs and vulvae? Is there any other body part that you find silly? The idea struck me, erm, not too long ago, and now it's developed into a legit wonderingment.

•MAN AM I EVER GRATEFUL FOR THIS INDIAN SUMMER /no sarcasm

•So... I have until tomorrow to figure out how many backhours I still have left from work last year. Whoops. I usually try to catch F when she's swamped so she can sign my timesheet without looking (and it's worked so well the past five months), but not the case today. She finally caught on. Whether or not she'll remember tomorrow is a different story, but I've been meaning to do this anyway. Sigh.
Edit: I'm owed 455 hours as of the timesheet I submitted today to be paid on the first of December. That's... a lot (at my current rate, it would take another year of sneaking that into my biweekly paycheck, if I never missed one). But that's also what happens when someone schemes and someone else is never around to be found to sign my timesheet.... Yup. I'm probably gonna get fired for something that's not my fault.

•KNITTING

•WHY DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS MARIO THING IN THE CITY ON SATURDAY SOONER! Ex-con!Katie has convinced me to blow the dust off my Link costume so she can be my Mido, but I'm not so sure. Surely there's another character I could be.... Because it's not like I can't cosplay. Ah, well, Katie and I will probably wind up discussing this tomorrow, and shopping on Friday.

6. Name a hockey tradition you love. I don't know, don't make me choose! Is it throwing stuff on the ice (hats, squids, etc.)? Reminds me of throwing back oppsing teams' home runs. Is it fights? No other sport has that (well, boxing, but....). Is it playoff bear-- IT'S PLAYOFF BEARDS. I support anything that involves the growing of facial hair, especially Dubinstache. :|

Work went a lot better today. Even though I went in an hour late, it still felt like a full day. But I was calmly done before lunch, and then something odd happened: I didn't know what to do with myself. LOL IRONY.

I saw blue jays outside today! Dad says they're always around, but I so rarely catch them, that I had to stand outside for a few minutes as five or six (must've been) flew around. And they were all dudes, too, so there're more somewhere. Nice change. Usually, it's just sparrows and starlings, the occasional mourning dove, pigeons where there's more traffic, cardinals in the summer. This was a great change. :D The squirrels were everywhere, too, running around. Ah, autumn~

Aaaaaaand the Rangers won, 2-1 in the shootout, so that's good. Both Hiller and Lundqvist were scary good, and I don't know how they stopped half the shots thrown at them. The Canucks fell 5-1 to the Wild in Minnesota. Apparently, there's someone in Minnesota whose name is Clutterbuck? I had to look him up on Wiki to make sure I'd heard right. I did. I can't... I can't.

And just now I was flipping channels and found the very tail end of The Princess Bride. I might have recited nearly flawlessly since I found it (which was just before Rugen's death). I had to yell out "I WANT MY FATHER BACK, YOU SON OF A BITCH!" though, because it's probably the most awesome line in the movie.

Ten percent. ... Augh, this is nothing.

Hey there!

The old LJ font is back, kinda! At least it's fixed-width and kinda looks similar. I'll take it (but it would be supasupakawaii if you could go back to the way it was over the summer, LJ. Just sayin').

I haven't been posting lately, but I promise I'm still alive. The past week and a half has left me so drained, though. Like, right now, I'm taking a break from cleaning my room because I couldn't stand up anymore. My eyes are also very itchy and heavy, but I'm not lying down, at least.

So where did I leave off? Hmmm, have to update the trip home from Vancouver, post the videos I took, pictures of the mochis, recap how much of a clusterfuck Hetalia Day turned out not to be (!!!), and my Halloween costume.

Work. I got back to work today and I was overloaded. XD The first phase of transfers went out while I was away and they started responding. Even though I got "the keys to the car," as H put it -- which means I get to do the list he had to do for me last semester -- I had over 350 students to code today, and a lot of checks to deal with in the morning. I finished the coding, thanks to some late-afternoon coffee (I'm pretty sure I even sounded wired), but that was all I had time for, as I was being pulled this way and that to take care of new responsibilities. So now I have to do address changes, e-mails probably, and also backup the front-front desk. I might have mentioned that last one before, as it happened before vacation, but it's gonna cause problems (whether or not I have to make them happen, because I'm sick and tired of this shit).

I mean, on the bright side, I'm busy, but on the not-bright side, I'm probably gonna flip my shit again (as Gabi warned me). I suppose I'll try to make three years (which happens in April) before I start looking for a new job? Because this is fucking cyclic and I can't.

Summary of that stuff I mentioned before: I nearly missed my flight from LA, videos aren't gonna happen soon, mochis I made, no trolls at Hetalia Day and people are actually giving feedback, the donation form, and mine and Es' Halloween costumes for Leigh's party on Saturday (still painfully in progress). Don Cherry, and the Canucks lost but David Booth looks way too much like Ryan Kesler. Canucks lost to the Oilers (whaaaaa?), courtesy of three goals in less than five minutes in the second. That was painful to listen to.

K NIGHT

Anyone have an inhaler they can send me? I don't want to die this winter.

Ever wonder why, when you tell people not to do something a hundred times, they still do it and are confused why you're upset, like you never told them to cut it out before? Yeah, that's me right now. I don't really wanna go into it, I don't need to. I'm just in that place. Bit lonely as a result. This week is taking its toll on me. I hope I get ALL THE SLEEP on Monday.

My messenger bag is coming along, and if I work really hard tonight, I can have it for tomorrow. I've got four hours (lol three hours of sleep). Save a few patches on the piping I have to go over, the outer shell is done. So now I'm working on the flap, and then I can close the whole thing up. WORD. Get back to knitting tomorrow evening.

I got the colored pages for the scavenger hunt printed, and the labels, so that's more or less done, I just physically have to put the packets together. I'm looking at my schedule/checklist and things are getting done with time to spare and I'm so happy, I can't believe it. This weekend's gonna tire and stress me out and take the wind right out of my sails, though. XD

Texas Rangers won 11-7/11. Brewers lost 4-3. Canucks lost 5-4 ninety miles away from me. ;A; I turned that game off in the first, though: they were down 3-1 with like seven minutes left? LOL YEAH, NO. I do hope they find their feet soon, because I'd like my badass team to be badass, please (though if they wanna lose on Tuesday, y'know, there's not too much of a problem there. OMG IT'S TUESDAY. It's starting to hit me, but I don't think it will until I'm on the plane somewhere over the Great Plains like "...I'm on a plane. Over the middle of the country. WHAT IS MY LIFE").

My shoulders are killing me and it's tough to breathe but I will persevere! Back to sewing! *determined fist*

There's also a Greece (there will be an Estonia and a France). They're scavenger hunt prizes (well, for the people from last year. This year's will be much bigger).

My room is a sty from all the supplies I've thrown around to make those tiny things. Should get back to cleaning.

Texas Rangers won, first walk-off grand slam in postseason history. Canucks came back to win 3-2, Alex Burrows with the GW. Brew Crew's down five in the seventh.

Y'know, it's shitty. Cruz' grand slam was pretty awesome, but Robin Ventura did it twelve years ago, too. Yeah, a walk-off postseason grand slam. Game 5 of the '99 NLCS. Except it's rather infamous as not being a grand slam because the Mets were too busy being surprised that they won and carrying Ventura off the field before he could touch 'em all. THANKS FOR TAKING AWAY OUR HISTORY, TODD PRATT.

Most disgusting of all is that Mets fans are proud of that play? I think it's the worst one in Mets history! Seriously, you guys, wait twenty more seconds like fucking grown-ups. And y'all ain't even with the NLCS anyway. oops my negro came out Bums. >:C

Anyway. ASoIaF/GoT fans: which house do you think I'd belong in? I found a few online quizzes, and got a mix of Stark and Tully clearly i'm arya and one Martell, the description of which fits me very well, but has a terrible sigil with worse colors augh but their motto is so badass. IDK MAN.

Finally: Happy Thanksgiving to everyone upstairs! I hope you had a delicious weekend! ♥

([livejournal.com profile] mykonos2, apparently ♥ isn't supported, but entering the character directly is. I imagine your keyboard is pretty different from mine, though, so I don't know what the keystroke sequence would be. ^_^;; Sorry.

(Edit: Eh? I just typed "& hearts;" just there, and it worked. Weird.)
