And here is the beautiful result:

...oh yeah, we thought it'd be funny to post it at doublespeed. :3c

So dancing along with us are Jaime (from Paradise*Peach), and Deanna and Karin from Bana Na Rama. Yvonne can't make the show, it turns out (Melissa and Olivia can't make it either), because she has a class she can't get out of, so it'll be the six of us at the show at NYCC, doin' our collab. I'm SUPER excited for it!

And when our powers combine, we make FRUIT SALAD. Strawberries and peaches and bananas sound like they would be a delicious smoothie. Mmmm.

Quotes of the day:
"I forgot to alligator!" --Deanna
"Guillermo is the only person I've met who can eat me under the table. ... Wait, that's not what I meant!" --Laura

Lundqvist made ... I think it was 31 saves? in a 2-1 win over Ottawa at the Garden to advance to the Eastern Conference Semifinals. :D Marc Staal and Dan Girardi with the goals: defensemen! Daniel Alfredsson scored Ottawa's goal, and you know what, I'm glad he did. I like Alfie a lot, and I hope I didn't just watch his last game.

Also, I made an ichiP! cake for our anniversary. It's strawberry flavored! And I screwed up the H a little bit and it kinda looks like a 五 but since it's our fifth, that's okay! XD I'll throw in some shitty anime dansu for lulz:

And almost nothing's happened. Here we go:

We did this on Sunday.

Rangers are down 3-2, with Game Six tomorrow in Ottawa. Canucks are down 3-1, Game Five right now in Vancouver, with the Nucks up 1-0 after two. Detroit, Pittsburgh, and San Jose have all been eliminated; Nashville, Philly, and St. Louis have advanced. Boston and Washington are going to Game Seven; Chicago and Phoenix (3-2 PHX) have their Game Six tomorrow, Jersey and Florida (3-2 FLA) have theirs on Tuesday. I did not expect the first round to turn out this way.

I tried to work on my dress, but got nothing done. I've been fighting a toothache again and lady-induced lethargy. Blecch.

Went to the Mets game on Saturday afternoon, and it was a hell of an ugly win. Pelfrey took a three-run lead into the ninth, but Francisco blew the save and let the game get tied. In the bottom of the ninth with the bases loaded, the ball went back to the pitcher who threw to Posey for the force at home, and Posey made a bad throw to first which allowed the winning run home. Yeesh.

Yup, that's pretty much it.

I promise this is it, but it's not as HOW DO I LIFE as the others.

Don't you hate it when you've been looking forward to something all day, and your day is kinda boring -- or worse, flat-out shitty -- but that's okay because OMG THIS THING, IT'S SO COOL AND EXCITING AND IT'S GONNA BE GREAT and then the thing you were waiting for also turns out to be shitty?

Yeah. That's been my week.

/hockey

Also, I went to the post office today to figure out where the hell my laptop battery is. It's been more than a week since I ordered it and it was supposed to get here five days ago; the tracking number doesn't have clear timestamps, so I'm not sure if it arrived at the distribution center in Brooklyn (which is on the border of Queens and is maybe eight miles away) or if it left the distribution center in Brooklyn on Friday morning at 3:14. Either way, it should have been here by now. My post office branch says they have the same information that I do, and really, all I can do, until Friday, is wait. I really hope Tosh doesn't die in the meantime.

I hurt my shoulder during practice on Sunday. I woke up yesterday and it felt like I'd just slept funny, but it hasn't gone away yet, so. Silly dance with its silly, exaggerated moves. ♥

Maaaaaaan, last night did not agree with me. And not only did I wake up in the middle of a sleep cycle, but I was roused by my family (they headed out to Puerto Rico today, and left the house about six in the morning. Mom texted me about one-thirty saying they got to San Juan okay). And just as I was managing to fall back asleep, my bladder was like "Hey, you've been awake for a while. You gonna empty me or what?"

Good thing I woke up, though, because my alarm clock decided it wanted to quit working altogether in the middle of the night, so I set my phone to wake me up instead. By then, of course, I only had a half-hour of sleep left....

Got to work, didn't feel like doing shit, and the one assignment I had took freakin' forever because I kept doubling back to make sure I did things I didn't remember doing (oh, but finishing the non-work things. That was easy and important and fresh in my mind, lol). I had to take several walks outside just to stay awake, and even then, I wound up hiding in the bathroom for a few five-minute naps.

And then I had practice! The first half of it was pretty shitty, because I was so overtired that my body a) didn't wanna do anything and b) didn't wanna listen to what I was trying to make it do. Only when threatened with coffee did I finally wake up... somewhat. I had my coffee, but I'm pretty sure I was unconscious before Bryant Park.

And now I'm here. Have been trying to knit, and keep up with my to-do list/schedule (it's very long/packed). The knitting is going well, at least, even if I ripped out everything I did and started over entirely. The new scarf is now twelve stitches wide instead of twenty-one, and it looks much better for it! That, and I've not effectively doubled the amount of yarn I have to work with. I'm still worried I'm not going to finish it in time, though, nor any of the other crafting projects I have to take on.

I started this two months early on purpose so I wouldn't be so overwhelmed. But everything just got dumped on at once, augh.

At least my vacation was officially approved today. Not that I wasn't going to go no matter what, but it's nice to have a blessing.

I'm gonna be a zombie for the next three weeks, guys, just like I was in April. Please don't mind me.

SPORTS: Texas is in, Yankees/Tigers are going to a Game Five, Philly squeaked by to lead the series 2-1 (fuckers), and looks like Arizona's gonna make things interesting. Hockey starts on Thursday (eeeeeeeee), but the Rangers will not have Sean Avery, as he's been placed on waivers. Poor Esmeralda is devastated. I changed my desktop wallpaper for the coming hockey season; I really shouldn't ship these guys subliminal as much as I do. Bad Venus. Very, very, very bad.

Yup. It's time to get changed and get ready for bed. XD

Canucks gave out an early purchase promo code today and... )

Practice went well today. I still feel like crap, I was dancing like crap, but I feel better about Ai Like Hamburger and 2 Different Tears. I just have to set a day aside and do everything because I've felt, lately, as though I'm cramming for my shows.

But yeah, we had a practice today despite the horrid weather. We found a rain location: the High Line at 16th St., and it makes for some pretty cool background when filming, too (even though it says you can't, or play music, but dude was there with a tenor sax (I said it felt like we were in a bad episode of Cowboy Bebop)). Anyway, it's covered, so that's awesome, and it's right near Michele's apartment.

The one bit of bad news for ichiP! (and it's not even that bad): our NYCC show was moved to Sunday at 11 instead of Saturday at 3:30, so that schedule reads true. But! We did get all the badges we asked for, so that's AWESOME.

So, overall, good day. And tomorrow, if it doesn't get rained out, Mets and Phillies with Lou and Amy! ♥ If it does, that's fine, too, we'll think of something fun to do, I'm sure.

Dance practice went well. We worked on Ai Like Hamburger a little more, and touched on all the others except 2 Different Tears, even though I had to half-ass things towards the end because my knee started hurting and all the twisting wasn't doing it any favors.

There were lots of pigeons in the park and they flew right at us several times. It was scary. XD

Met Es, Daniela, and some others at Kino after practice. Went stationery shopping and bought two beautiful blue pens. I usually write in black, but, y'know. BLUE. We migrated to the park for a little while to wait on some people before continuing to the library for internet access (because we couldn't connect to the wifi in the park) to find out where those military surplus stores were.

ITP: Venus is unAmerican and speaks ''blasphemy.'' )

By the time we got to the first surplus store, it was closed, and the second didn't seem to exist. We turned around and went to Timmy's to get me some coffee because I was falling out, then back to Bryant Park... until we found a public space just short of it and stopped there instead.

I hate Times Square, by the way. I really fucking hate Times Square. Every time I walk through it, I want to kill myself.

By then, it was just me, Es, and Kendra, and we discussed plans for Hetalia Day and some other stuff until about nine, when we decided it was getting late and time to go. So, here I am.

One of my e-mails today said that my payment for Abi's title was dropped because my card information was incomplete, even though I'd set it up the day I bought the thing. This was a blessing in disguise, as I had been double-charged and meant I didn't have to go to the bank to sort things out. I rang it up again and this time, it seemed to work okay (I've just checked my bill and it's listed as pending), so that's good.

Saw posts on Indian wedding fashion and such on a friend's Tumblr and it reminded me that god damn I wish I had Indian hair. It's just so beautiful and long and everything I wish my bird's nest was. But that jewelry is so crazy (in the good way), I'm glad I'm not Indian because I couldn't pull it off and I'd be so awkward and bangles would go flying everywhere.

ALSO NOW I HAVE SCARVES TO KNIT WHOOPS. Hey there, horizontally-striped nightmare, you're going to take five years to do, aren't you? Yes, you are! Yes, you are! but a canucks scarf to match my future jersey too yay. still haven't decided whose name i want on the back though orz

Yesterday: downloaded a shitton of lovely '90s music. It started with I'll Be, but just kept going from there. Dear God. I have nineteen new songs and a bunch left to download. Then I can make an Olde Timey playlist. *_*

Tomorrow: cleaning up in here so I can film, maybe, a very short tour of my bedroom. It's not a very big space, so there isn't much to say, but it'll be nice to have it documented before I get all that new furniture, whenever it happens.
