AnimeNEXT - Friday recap.
Jun. 13th, 2012 04:35 amOn Thursday, I got to Laura's crying in pain because somewhere on the Turnpike I suddenly had the incredible urge to use the bathroom. I made it, but it was the most physically excruciating hour of my life. :( I was also an hour and a half late getting there because people felt like being uncooperative douchebags. But whatever, I made it. Shortly after I showed up, we got Erica and got badges (Berryz Koubou on our badges AWWWW YEAAAAH) and food. When we came back, we got to work on costumes. My Madayade dress was, like, IMPOSSIBLE to fit.

Some things: I registered for AnimeNEXT and Katsu; waited until today because tomorrow's pay day and I can pay off my card when I deposit my check. Mmmm, good credit.

I'm actually working on Munasawagi Scarlet. My goal is to understand what's going on in that hand... thing... before the night is over.
A Clash of Kings is like OMG. I mean, not that characters don't drop like flies in some places, but an unexpected (read: "very sudden") death was keeping my attention before eight o'clock this morning. Still second for The Omen Machine, but I requested A Storm of Swords and I'm eighth (of eight, naturally) for that one. That's okay, since I still have half of A Clash of Kings left.
( And now for one of my thrice-weekly work!rants. )
Both the Rangers and the Canucks won yesterday, extending their win streaks to three and five, respectively. AND I HEAR MASON RAYMOND WILL BE BACK TOMORROW SLKDJFLSDKJF ALL MY JOY. 27. Closing arguments on why someone who has never watched a hockey game should. Um, it's fun. Most people like fast-paced sports, and this is that. But mostly you'll do it because I'm asking you to, and it's a lot more interesting when someone is telling you what's going on. I still can't explain, myself, whey I like it, but you should give it a chance. ... Also because there can never be enough people making fun of Princess Sindey. :3clol whoops i almost forgot to do this part. how do you like the weakest answer ever? i'm so tired.
December starts tomorrow. It's cold. Final word count: just over 12,500.

Nov. 23rd, 2011 11:22 pmWhile I was kept rather busy at work today (wanna piss me off? Give me fifty of the same things to do, but piecemeal), I've done nothing since getting home. Rather, I've done a lot of one thing, and that thing is sleeping. Since six or so, I've slept about four and a half hours. It's eleven. I'm bored and I have nothing to do and I'm feeling mopey and lonely, so sleep is the best fix of all three of those.
I've been relatively flying through A Clash of Kings. Now that I have a better picture of what's going on in my mind, it's not so boring. I'm now second (of two) in the queue for The Omen Machine, so I need to read faster! Hopefully, I get a lot of that accomplished tomorrow. Not looking forward to it at all. Just gonna keep telling myself that in twenty-four hours, I'll be back home and comfortable. Holidays keep getting worse and worse and I would rather have some teeth pulled. Should look into getting that mini fridge for next month, and a rope ladder so I don't have to leave through the house (THIS IS HOW BAD I AM).
So it looks like ichiP! and P*P are going to collab on Munasawagi Scarlet for AnimeNEXT. As it was my suggestion, I'm pretty damn excited. I don't know how we're going to work this out, and I should probably start sketching it up just to do it. At times, it hits me: OMG BERRYZ KOUBOU but other times, I'm pretty indifferent because chances are I'm going to miss them just like I do everyone else, and whatever ichiPeach! (which is what I call us in my head, because Paradise*Pantsu is a BAD IDEA) winds up doing will be just another show. All my panels will be scheduled during Berryz' shit, watch (though if they don't post group rates soon, I'm gonna prereg alone. Not like I won't get my money back). :V
Here's wherejennybenz's meme runs out; rather, it has one question left, but I'll save that for next week. Question that I'm snatching from the other meme is 20. Who has the best rivalry? I don't know too much about other rivalries around the NHL (though Leafs/Habs seems like it would be fun if I were a fan of either team Toronto (because ew Montreal)), but here's what I do know:
•I've been told I should hate the Blackhawks like a good little Canucks fan should. :D Obviously, also Boston, those fuckers. >:(
•jennybenz, help me out. Who don't I like because of Buffalo?
•More like the Islanderps, amirite?
•They're from Jersey, haven't they been punished enough? (No.)

Herp, locality. Three teams within ~100 miles of the Rangers, derp.
Speaking of the Rangers, they fell 2-1 to Florida tonight (Canucks are winning 2-0 after two, though!). Okay, so I guess our next seven-game run will start on Friday. We've got, um... awwww, Washingto-- dammit, Philly on Saturday?! D: The third game is against the Penguins, and while I didn't include them in the rivalry bit, I can't wait to beat them: Crosby's back, so I hear, and it's always fun to make everyone's favorite princess cry. >D
So, maybe I'll listen to the third period, maybe I'll read a little more. I won't eat because I'm not hungry, but I'll certainly be back in bed before midnight. Just... continue ignoring me, it's okay. I'd rather you did; it's not like I'm not used to it.

Dad's scarf is awesome. I did a lot of work on it and I'm back on pace! \o/ I've still got a bit to go, but even if I don't finish it tonight, it's a lot less left for tomorrow than I had to do today (and worse comes to worst, I can bring it with me on my commute on Tuesday). Canucks are currently beating the Isles 3-1 in the third -- a game I can actually watch! -- and I will thoroughly enjoy watching my teams gang up on and beat Dad's twice in three nights. XD
10. Do you/have you ever played hockey? Um, we played indoor ball hockey in gym class in junior high school, does that count? I have a very distinct memory of being a SHITTY goalie (I didn't wanna be goalie, it made no sense. I was even smaller then than I am now). XD New York's a very basebally-basketbally town, especially in the city proper, where we don't have all the space necessary for hockey (or football). Let's be honest: I can't even skate very well. I can stay on my feet, and going fast is really fun, but I don't have the greatest control once I get going. XD
