Awwww, "hockey" tag! I missed you!
Theresa IMed me yesterday wondering if it was hockey season yet because she got... something. I don't remember (a lot of shit happened after that). I very excitedly said that Thursday, my team was playing hers in the (Rangers') first game (the Devils' first game is tonight against the orange bullshit who don't even sing the right song Flyers. Hopefully, my mom's not home so I can watch. Yay, this shit's starting again!). Preseason's here~
I mean, not that any preseason sport is anything to get excited over. But I go through the same thing in March. February fifteenth hits, and two short weeks later, March first. "YES! Finally! Baseball~♪" for the first couple of days, then I start bitching and moaning for April, because some dude that I'll never see again is wearing number eighty-fucking-three in a split-squad game that the Mets are losing on both ends. Real baseball naoplzkthx. But the atmosphere is the same (ish) because it's not long before I'm screaming myself hoarse at the television. *_*
( Baseball culture explaining that last paragraph. )
But, as Theresa pointed out, this year won't be as fun because we won't have the Olympics towards the end, or the World Cup when it's over. I've been lamenting that for months. Worse, I was flipping through the newspaper to my beloved sports section to see that Drury broke his finger, and he's out for four weeks; he'll miss the first couple of games. After he was all excited about doing well this year, awww. Either way, THERESA, we need to go to a game in Jersey this year: Friday, November 5; Wednesday, December 29;Friday, February 18 (shit, that last one is Katsucon. Nevermind). :D
Recap on Sunday's show and what I did with myself this weekend (besides rage) eventually. ... I still owe the last third of Otakon, too, lol.
