HOCKEY SEASON'S BACK
And though we're only two games in (granted the season is shortened, but the difference is thus far negligible), the Rangers and Canucks are driving me to drink (except not actually because you know I don't do that).
The Rangers are 0-2-0, losing 3-1 last night to the Bruins in Boston and 6-3 tonight to the Penguins at home (it was 3-1 after the first!). Henrik Lundqvist got pulled halfway through tonight's game, and that's when I gave up hope (suddenly I'm glad I missed the fantasy league deadline because he was meant to be my first-round pick). Their next game is at home against Boston on Wednesday.
The Canucks are faring slightly better at 0-1-1, but they should have won tonight's game. They were leading 2-0 when the Oilers got on the board with 3.1 seconds left in the second, and tied late in the third. Nothing happened in overtime, but Edmonton shooters were 2-2 and Vancouver shooters 0-2, so there goes that. They got their asses HANDED to them last night, 7-3, at the hands of the Ducks. Where Lundqvist was pulled tonight, Schneider was pulled last night. Canucks go up against the Flames on Wednesday, ending the homestand before a rematch against Anaheim on Friday.
I'm really glad there are two days until the next games so I can chill the fuck out because... c'mon, guys. Come on. Come the fuck on.
IN OTHER NEWS I had a pretty cool time hanging out with Jet and Syd and later Soomin today. I feel like we all got a lot accomplished. :D
