I came down with a sore throat Tuesday night and all of Wednesday was miserable. Woke up fine on Thursday and have been having a bit of scratchiness and coughing up crap since, but no pain and I can talk.

Rangers and Canucks both won a pair: the Rangers against Boston in OT on Wednesday and the Leafs on Saturday, the Canucks against Calgary in SO on Wednesday and they shutout the Ducks on Friday. Canucks are in LA right now, and the Kings tied it with :44 left in the god damn game. They've blown how many 2-0 leads, now?

Edit: ...aaaaaaaaand they lost in the SO. God DAMN it.

My parents are trying to get custody of my nephew, and there's a pretty decent chance that they might. As a matter of protocol, a social worker is coming to inspect the house on Wednesday morning. Can I have a job, like, tomorrow, so I can move out because I don't want a nine-year-old in my residence, thanks.

especially since -- and i know this is a terrible thing to say -- it's not right for my parents to adopt this kid. i know they care and that's great but they can't even take care of a dog correctly, what makes them think they can take care of a developmentally challenged and ADHD, among whatever else might be wrong with him from having shitty caretakers his entire life, kid? and i'll be honest: i'm not going to be too nice to him, really. i don't have the patience. this isn't the best place for him.

Hung out with Jet today (we watched hockey and Hetalia), hanging out with Andrea tomorrow (no idea what we're doing), taking a day off from socializing and then spending the weekend with the wife again (do ALL the things!).

Rangers beat the Flyers, 2-1! Cally with a PPG, which was also the GWG! but seriously stop taking so many fucking penalties ... But he got hurt pretty bad in the 3rd; still don't know what happened to him.

We got new internet today. All the channels are different. WHAT DO.

Social worker coming tomorrow morning. ... I should take care of these beer bottles, huh.
