Slept as late as I could, alsmot until eleven, which was much later than yesterday! ^_^ Did the usual Sunday thing, that is, waste the day chitchatting with Olua. We bitched and moaned about how we're both stuck in our outside-the-storyline shorts, but traded a few paragraphs with each other. I definitely got the short end of the stick with that deal. My passage was awesome. Hers was only okay, since I'd seen some of it before. I didn't make any progress today. Maybe tomorrow during the shows when I'm bored.

Phill stopped by very unexpectedly today. My mom came along all "Um, Venus? There's an ambulance outside." So?! Can no one have a myocardial infarction (quick! Who remembers bio class?!) or something in this neighborhood?! So I headed out onto the stoop, and sure enough, it was Phill. He was in the neighborhood, so he figured he'd stop by, come in for a moment and say hi to everyone. He said he'd text me when he got home, but hasn't yet. And I know he will the SECOND I step in the shower. I've still got to wash my hair, and I'm gonna do that as soon as I finish posting.

I played P2 for a little while today and didn't make much progress. Didn't expect to. I had to get my laundry done, besides. The second load is in the dryer now (I only had colors and darks) so I should be done with it all soon. And then I'll go have some tea before bed.

Oh! And because I bought Olua a Tama last week, and she had stickers, I went looking for mine. No stickers, so I was a bit disappointed, BUT! I did find an extra battery. So I replaced the one that went kablooie and my Egg-friend (and baby-egg-friend) lives again! I also found a battery for my wall clock, so that's great.

I was also inspired to make up more Hylian words because I'm a dork, so I went etymology-hunting again. It's really an interesting thing, to see how words have evolved over time. I wonder how hard it'll be to read what I'm writing now in three, four hundred years. Haha. Will the E-Zone still be around, or will we have something cooler? Maybe I could build a time machine and find out, obligatory webcomic reference! But seriously, etymologies are pretty neat. I love languages. Maybe I should seriously consider studying them.

That's what I said about math before school took all the fun out of it. :/

Speaking of which, I was talking with Someone on the phone last night about school. Someone pointed out that college drop outs seem to make it, but everyone else who wastes four years of perfectly good time in college doesn't amount to much. I said something like 'You're right. Maybe my suspension was a sign.' Maybe. I mean, I like my job, and I sure as hell wouldn't have Generic Wintertime Festival presents for everyone if I were in school this semester. I also wouldn't have bumped into Lloyd last week. I'm still not saying that's a good thing or a bad thing, it's just funny how the world works.

But I really like languages. When I went to Kinokuniya with Guillermo on Thursday, I was SOOOOO jealous of the white dude speaking (what sounded to me like) perfect Japanese with a customer. I really wanted to ask how long it took him to learn (just so I could faceplant or something. I don't know), but he was still with the customer, so I decided against it. ^_^;; I wanted to pick up the little kanji book (marked at $13 but it also sold for ¥930, which made me upset) while I was there. Kanji fascinate me. I'm like, the ONE foreigner who likes the things. XD Mike said, "Kanji were invented specifically to keep white people from learning the language." But other than Japanese, the fad language of the otaku, I wanna brush up on French, freaking LEARN Spanish, maybe get down to the nitty-gritty of English (because it's a fucked up language that we speak, Goddesses only know why) and who knows what else?

I'm hungry. Tea and cake (or death!) when I get out of the shower. Le singe est sur la branche. :::points to Christmas tree::: Really. We've got a little monkey ornament. Okay, no, not really.

This was supposed to be a short post.
