Dec. 9th, 2004 10:42 pmGot off of work early today. Spent the downtime watching InuYasha AMVs with Wendy on her laptop and talking about writing. Neither one of us got much accomplished (making up religious stuff is HARD!). I owe Dave my cosplay pictures, but I don't think I'm going to get them to him soon. Figured out how to make the origami water lillies, so I folded a few of those and some more cranes. I think I'm going to add bunnies to my paper repertoire tomorrow. I can see Doug now. "What IS all this?"
Struggled with the Christmas lights. When you buy a new string of lights, and they all work perfectly, you stick them up on the tree and don't touch them for a few weeks. When the Christmas season's over, you take the lights down, shove them in a box which goes in your basement or attic or storage area and for eleven more months, where they remain untouched. What I don't understand is why, then, when next year comes, these untouched lights suddenly don't work. It's not like you were screwing around with them... or that you used them. I don't get it.
Following Zel's example and eating a huge container of ice cream by myself. Hers was chocolate, but she only had a pint. Me? I've got a whole freakin' QUART of Pralines and Cream. I'm not gonna finish it tonight (though I'm 1/4 of the way through it already), but I needed ice cream. I'm allowed to occasionally indulge. And I thank Ingrid for running out in the rain to get it for me.
Gonna hit up Roosevelt Field this weekend with Olua (if she ever gets back to me; I haven't spoken to her since Tuesday night) and get the rest of Christmahanukwanzakah (birthday) gifts for everyone. $400 tomorrow... yay!!! ...I think I'm gonna go play OoT now.
