Lam-buh.

So yesterday I woke up bright and early and made my way over to Lynda's. I spent the day with her, but not at home (we had our traditional macaroni and cheese before leaving, though). Gillian came along not too long after lunch and the four of us went to North Shore. Four. Floyd the Cat was in his carrier in the front seat. He needed to be groomed.

Cats + Venus = NO. I'm horribly allergic to cats. I do the whole, itchy-eyed, sneezy asthma thing, and suffice it to say that it's not fun. I like cats cuz they're cute, but I can't have one wrapping itself around my leg, like they do. And Floyd the Cat is a mancoon. All that means is that he's ginormous and hairy. Floyd is a ginormous cat, anyway. They weighed him and he turned out to be nearly eighteen and a half pounds. Wow. He was really heavy and clumsy to carry. Either way, I took some precautionary Allegra before the macaroni was done, just so I had the stuff in my system.

So we went to North Shore and while Floyd was getting groomed, Lynda took me around through the kennel and the puppy room, and I squealed like a piggy at all the dogs. I love dogs, I really do, and I'm not allergic to them, which is good. ^_^ I wanted to take some of them home! The puppies were so cute -- and there was one that looked just like Noel when she was a puppy, only this one was bigger -- but I was more in love with the adult dogs. Some of them were just too precious.

We left, eventually, after what seemed like HOURS of Lynda complaining how hungry she was, and got back to Gillian's apartment. So far, so good. All I did was sneeze once, and I think it was because something might have flown up my nose.

Gillian also has two ferrets, but I'm good with ferrets, so she let them run around (ferrets are so long and skinny; I just wanna pick one up and tie it into a knot. Haha, I'm so cruel). I just had to be careful I didn't trip over any of the animals. We walked over to Francis Lewis -- Gillian lives like, two blocks from Dad's Legion Post, only on the other side of FLB -- had sushi at a place Edgardo Alfonzo used to frequent (how did I not know about that?! I'd only passed the place to and from high school EVERY DAY for three years), and bought a HUGE leg of lam-buh that we planned on roasting. It was over seven pounds. I carried it like a baby so the bone that had poked through the bag didn't touch the ground. Lynda helped season it and we stuck it in the oven.

Edgardo Alfonzo used to be an infielder for the Mets. He was godly. When he played third base, alongside Rey Ordoñez at short, the left side of the infield was unbeatable. Kinda like A-Rod and Jeter in the Bronx? But MUCH less assholey. Alfonzo has more nice in his pinkynail than the Yankees infield will have in their LIVES.

And stuff happened that I don't remember. People showed up. Allergies got worse (two cats, now), inducing asthma. Beer and tequila were consumed. I tried to play the piano (a really simple version of Für Elise was available, but I haven't played in a while, so my bass-clef-reading skills were a little rusty. But I got through it). It was a fun and happy time. A few hours later, we ate the hell out of the lam-buh. It was AMAZING. All we could do was moan in absolute pleasure every time we took a bite because there were no words. Gillian also roasted some potatoes, cooked some asparagus -- it was crisp and delicious, unlike my mother's, which is saggy and gross -- and stuffed tomatoes. Those tomatoes were inSANE. Lynda, tell Gillian I need to know how she made all that stuff. o_O!!

We SO need to fix our oven. >_<

I didn't want to stop eating that stupid lam-buh, but if I had, I would have gotten stretch marks across my stomach from being WAY too full.

Around nineish, I really couldn't stand the fact that I couldn't breathe well anymore, and the walk that Lynda and I took to try and get me back in order didn't work very well. I had to go home. Fortunately, I got a ride. I found my inhaler, took a pull, and all was well in the world again. Poor Lynda worried about me. If anything, I would have just wound up in the hospital again. No big deal. ^_^ It's cool when the doctors know you by name. Hahaha. I was in bed before midnight.

Today, I woke up even earlier -- seven, yuck. -- and made my way over to Shea. There was training for work that started at nine. I managed to get there at ten to. I was grateful that it wasn't as cold as last time, and that I didn't have to wait as long, either. I went in, filled out some MORE paperwork, and left, all in under an hour. And since Dad took me to the train station -- the bus wasn't scheduled to come by for fifteen minutes when I got to the bus stop -- I still had a transfer on my card. I took the 48 into Flushing and went to the bakery. OMG pork bun. Why, WHY did I only buy one?! I have to go back.... Maybe I will, because I've got ANOTHER mandatory session to attend on Monday afternoon. Geez. Does it never end?

Got home around 11:30, watched some TV, read a little bit and went back to sleep to get what I'd lost from waking up too early. I have WEIRD dreams. I don't even remember what they were about, but I remember being in a convenience store and I couldn't buy batteries.... something like that.

That's about it. Time to go eat. Nothing will top the past twenty-four hours or so....
