I met Nigel and Andrea today!
Apr. 19th, 2005 11:39 pmIt was SUCH a lovely day. Walking to the bus stop, I couldn't help but notice how warm and springy it was, and with many fresh-cut lawns (including mine), I couldn't help but think it was summer. ^_^
So I met Nigel at GameStop, as we had arranged. I was looking at all the Gamecube games, of course, cursing that Melee -- which I still don't own, lol -- is still $25 used. Oh, I had the money, don't get me wrong, but I kinda need to get to and eat in Boston next week. Never mind I later spent $20 on lunch and laminating sheets. Oh well. I guess I'll charge a dollar for the badges I make. Haha. Gamestop. I was actually on the phone with Lynda when he walked in; apparently, she's gotten a job. :::sigh::: That's one of us, at least. Nigel and I managed to leave the GameStop without his buying a PSP, haha.
He got money. Then we got coffee! And, while sitting outside, Andrea happened to show up. We talked a good long while, and to be honest, I was surprised how we just got along.... though once she mentioned the Mets, I had a feeling it was going to go swimmingly. We sat at the table outside Starbucks for a good while -- Nigel kept commenting on what a nice day it was -- and then decided to get free ice cream at Ben&Jerry's. Andrea and I opted for oatmeal cookie-something, Nigel got chocolate therapy. The oatmeal cookie-something was SOOOOO good. I'd pay for it next time.
We meandered until we got to a street corner, where we stopped walking and kept talking. For a while, again. It felt like at LEAST an hour (good, I assure you!), which was awesome. Andrea and Nigel were just so easy to talk to! Andrea got a bit sunburnt (:/ I was hoping she wouldn't), and had to go home anyway, so she left the two of us to go get something to eat. More meandering to a Chinese place. I had duck. <3_<3
We went over to Forbidden Planet -- COMICS -- and that cool Harley Quinn marionette that was $250. I nearly bought manga. I nearly bought a bag. I reminded myself that Boston is next week. I had a lovely conversation with a random person on how InuYasha just. Won't. End. I have to keep the place in mind because they have a three-for-25 deal. :D Wish I would have known that this winter.
We were about to go home after that, but then I remembered to steal -- borrow -- Nigel's Kenshin manga that he oh-so-conveniently had in his locker at school. Seven volumes. I have reading for tomorrow!! Then we went to Staples and I got my laminating sheets for my forum badge. Finally. $14. X_X
Took the train home, of course, we live in the same zip code. But at the bus stop, we had to part ways. :::tear::: It was awesome, though, I had more of a blast than I let on here. Can't wait to do it again.
And my mom's fish is AWESOME. So is Mrs. Johnson's lasagna.
And and AND, I used to be a better writer than I am now. XD I need new material. I need to get out of this universe. I need to finish that one-shot; I've only got a month left! >_<
