You guys are morons. XD
May. 21st, 2005 04:25 pmApparently, no one reads date and time of entry anymore... haha. According to that, I posted on May 19, 15:13, which is when I was born. Because of the hiatus (friends-only post from last Saturday), I didn't know if I'd be able to get to LJ on my actual birthday (and I couldn't). So you guys all suck for ignoring information.
And for those of you who didn't call me a liar or a cheater, cookies. The rest of you just get... I don't know.... a piece of tree bark (OMG WHAT KIND OF TREEEEEEEEE?!?!?!)
And Kreg, you spelt it all right, but I think it's supposed to be two words, otanjoubi omedetou, and you can throw in a gozaimasu in there, s'il vous plait.
So I think we're in the final stretch here, in regard to the hiatus. YAY. :::crosses fingers in the meantime:::
So I've actually been busy this week! I haven't seen Phill since last Friday ;-; but I've had other things. Tuesday was Olua-and-friends' Spring Concert, and as three of the four of them are seniors, it was very sad and such. It was cool, though, even though the marching band was on last and I had to sit through FOUR choruses. WTF. -_- The kickline was great, but the guard didn't spin at all, they just did some angles, which, if I may say, NEED WORK. And all the flutes need someone to push up the right ends because NO. Not to mention that this one show off (alto sax kid) needs to learn how to play The Star-Spangled Banner in its entirety before adding all the pretty ornaments that go along with it. "Lookit me, everyone! I'm very blantantly showing disrespect to my country but it's okay because I CAN PLAY SCALES!" He skipped from "o'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming" to "Oh, say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave."
Wednesday, Lynda took me out to lunch to bribe me for help on her project for communication class. We made dinner and on the way out, she lent me her PS2, along with FF7, 9 and 10, and Shadow Hearts. I've started 7; I'm ...fiveish hours in, in the Shinra building.
Thursday was my birthday and my parents gave me $50, which I wasn't expecting (to be honest, I wasn't expecting much after good wishes). I quickly spent half of it at the library, and got to go online. YAY. I also took out The Grammar Bible by Michael Strumpf because ...omg, grammar. I'm a secret sucker for grammar. Anyway. I haven't been able to put it down. Lee called me weird. But my parents took me out to dinner on Thursday night, too, to a place called Mangoville on Jamaica and Hollis Aves. It's decent. I had mango-topped salmon, but my piece of fish was rather small and went quickly. ;-; Nothing special after that.
Yesterday I went to a small get-together in Brooklyn. Cast/crew member Brooke was throwing a party and I got to cosplay and yay. I also met up with Al Rosario from high school. Apparently, he goes by Alex now. We watched some Aqua Teen and shit, but I couldn't stay very long because it was in Bushwick, so ... yeah.
Did you know it's nearly impossible to find a hair salon to just blow dry your hair? And if you DO find a place, they'll want your firstborn in exchange? Shit. $25 is enough to get my hair washed and set AND blow-dried, forget just blown out. Hmph.
Today I'm at Olua's. She's in the other room watching anime. ^_^
:::happy sigh::: It's great to be back.
