My brother got a haircut.
Now, this may not seem like such a fantastic, post-worthy event to most people, but my brother WAS one of those people with very scary 'fro-hair, and it'd been that way for a few years. He'd get it braided (into those stupid STUPID cornrows) every so often, and what was left over at the end would rest on his shoulders. There was a point where his hair was nearly as long as mine (coincidentally, that's when I decided that I had to grow mine out because I was sick of it NOT growing. But I swear it's a coincidence, as I was living at school at the time). But normally, he'd just be lazy and let it poof out into a nasty, unkempt 'fro (my hair's nicer. It's thinner, so when it poofs, it at least poofs in a curl shape. His is just poof). I just let him inside the house and.... it's all gone. I almost didn't reocgnize him. Weird.
Okay, real news. Today was another shoot for the movie, which is set to screen ON FRIDAY. Eesh. And, as the girl-twins couldn't make it today, we had to reshoot the ENTIIIIIIIIIIRE fight scene. The fight turns out to be a *spoiler* and I daresay that my side won, thanks to me and Alex. But the others on my side could MOVE, which was great. Chris and Kerri were all kissy in their part of the fight, which wasn't fair to anyone else, as they're engaged IRL. J(aur)on looked around, said fuck it and went off somewhere to drink. But my side still won. Oh, we kicked their ASSES. I also learned how to throw fake punches a little bit better. Steve said I could be a very good shit-kicker. ^_^
Speaking of Steve, I met Maddi today, who's a sweetheart. I like her lots, and she played a HELL of a good Yuna. Crazy Yuna, with big eyes and everything. It was hell trying to get her dressed, though. Figuring out that Yuna costume was tough, and figuring out how to get it all to stay up -- as the costume was made for someone a bit bigger than Maddi -- was tougher. We did it, though, and with only one safety pin. W00T.
But it was more or less the same as last time. Entrance. Stare-downs. Charging. General chaos. Five-second bits with small groups fighting. Turning points. More fighting. It was all a little out-of-sequence here and there, but we did it, and hopefully everything will turn out well. And my Phoenix Down came in handy! ... In more than one way. >.o "No, it's a Phoenix UP!" :::shudder:::
My Phoenix Down: Clicky!
Keep in mind it's been through an entire fight scene, and then some. It looked a lot prettier when I had first finished it. And Warky, I took a page out of your book. I sprayed it with perfume. Not that AXE Phoenix stuff because I don't have any, but anyone remember GAP scents from waaaaaaaaay back when? I still have some of mine, so I used that. It smells prettyful (and not like acrylic paint)! Though.... having been around really sweaty people all day, I think I should spray it again. x_X
At least we had an air-conditioned room. ... Okay, we blocked off the corner that had the air conditioner with some of the drapes. But it worked. It was our Minion-hole, and where we'd relax when we needed to cool off. Chris(quall) started to use it as a changing room, until we pointed out that the fourth wall of his room was a big pane of glass, i.e., the window.
>.> It sounds like the birds chirping outside are saying, "Minion. Minion."
What else...... um, that's about it. The PR Day Parade was today, but I couldn't make it because of the shoot, surprise, surprise. We had lots of fun watching all the paradegoers go by, though, and about half of them had the flags draped across their shoulders. We decided that the superhero name for such people was "Wonder Spic". That's about it. With all the pervs around, though, it's a wonder that no one tried to hit on me. >.>;;
Well, Carmen did fondle me, at least. I felt kinda violated because it was all unexpected. But did I learn my lesson and NOT stand next to her? No. Well, I couldn't. We had to stay in the same places for continuity. But yeah. That was kinda "AAAAH-- oh. Would you at least warn me before you put your hand on my boob/stuff down my shirt, please?" or "Who keeps rubbing my ass?" Hmmm. I don't know how to keep explaining this. I think I'm just going to stop.
"I'M NOT EASY!"
Oh my Goddesses, people are going to be quoting that. And they're going to hate me for a certain act that I did, which eventually led to a panty shot (not mine)! "Ohmigod, did you see that Rinoa that-- she's right over there!!! :::point:::" But it's okay cuz *spoiler*. Consider it payback. HMPH.
:::lip quiver::: Angelooooooooooooooo. ;-;
Oh. So speaking of not being easy, Jon Baker was saying that he saw how all the "Behind the Fantasy" segments went and were put together and that they came out really well. That makes me happy because, like I said before, I totally SUUUUUUUUCKED on mine. What I said, though, just happened to fit into places here and there. I'm the GLUE. I hold it all together, yo.
So, in conclusion, today was a FUN ASS DAY. New friends and reshoot and dizziness. I'm starting to get tired, so I might actually get to bed soon.... haha. Perhaps now. >.> Night.
