I can't believe I was stupid enough NOT to mention this here already.
ConnectiCon's a GREAT place. I had lots of fun there last year, met lots of new and cool people, including webcomic artists galore, and you know me and webcomics. ^_^;; On top of other things.... there was the origami workshop, Karaoke Revolution that I was too shy to try last year (though everyone tells me now that I SHOULD have because they think I can sing or something >.o), wonderful first aid... XD But because they moved from U of Hartford to the Hartford Con Center this year and had to toss in many new expenses, Matt and Briana -- they founded CTCon -- have piled up a MASSIVE debt. We're talking nearly $35,000.
I would LOVE to help them by donating whatever I could spare, but to be honest, I can't spare a dime (well maybe a DIME, but they'd probably just laugh at me. >.o), and I feel badly about it. So, just to let all of you know, and if you're interested in helping (and haven't done so already), please visit Save ConnectiCon, and help out one of New England's best. I had a blast last year, sorry I missed it this year and would like to return in '06. If you're in New England (especially if you like webcomics), this is definitely one worth checking out!
Right now, I just checked the site, they've collected $10,229.78, which is nearly a third of what they need. Good start. ^_^
P.S. And I beat FF9 last night. Whee!
