("Mendy, Yellow" is part of the cheer that Mendelssohn Quad uses for themselves. Their Quad Color is Yellow. ... Do Roth, Kelly and Tabler even have cheers?)

A novela, first, is a Spanish soap opera. Except they're OMFG dramatic. My abuela watches them. I love my abuela. <3

(Holy crap, LJ autosaves now?!)

Okay, so if I've got more drama than one, it must be a lot. Work and I-Con coming around to kick me in the pants at the same time.

I-Con's not so bad. Ray got around to e-mailing me (and he was all formal... haha), so I have to e-mail him back and such. More on that later, but I have the horrible feeling it won't turn out all that well (at least, in my favor).

Work. Here we GO. It's all jumbled and nonsensical and there are probably inferences drawn that I've left out but whatever.

The other day, Huang told Evie that Eka was talking about Evie behind her back. Eka can be a little volatile sometimes, so no one really questioned it, but for Eka to say that Evie wasn't doing her job.... it was a little weird to everyone, but it came through as truth, marked by Flores' "Evie, whatever you do, don't hit Eka." WHOA. She would never! Today, Evie was supposed to open the store with Eka. Since I still had a few hours to make up from Sunday, I decided to open as well and step in between them if anything went wrong. Nothing did. I reconfigured the Saturated section (so that it looks presentable), Eka changed the window decorations to reflect the new lines in the store and Evie stayed in the back to do paperwork, and help cart the stuff we needed.

I was playing with my section all day, so I don't know exactly what happened or how, but Evie and Eka got to talking. Evie is horribly honest, so she told Eka flat-out what Huang said. Eka must have been surprised, because she told Evie that Huang said the same thing to her (that Evie said that Eka wasn't doing her job). All of this on top of the TV incident. At least that was straightened out.

But because of the TV incident, Eka got a third write-up, which means she has to be terminated. If I'm not mistaken, Huang is on her way to the store, as I type, to do the paperwork. ;-;

It seems like it bothers both Karens to come to our store (because there's always SOMETHING going on), and now there'll be more complaining as Ariana's suspended for a week. Who does that leave? Evie, of course. But she can't open-close every day.... Not to mention that they -- the Karens -- are trying to pit us against each other because of the TV incident. Goddesses only know why, but what Huang did only proves it (and Flores isn't clean, either). I wonder if they realize that because Evie is so honest that she can't help but tell us what's going on, that it will only prove to promote solidarity within the ranks of the five of us that are left. We can't say anything behind each other's backs; we have to be honest with each other because we have to know that we can trust each other.

Huang also wrote me up for not coming in to work on Sunday. Evie, naturally, told me this as soon as she got the fax (I wonder what would have happened if I had been in the back when that fax came in?). Never mind that I called in to say that I couldn't make it. Never mind that I called Elaina for a ride (half-heartedly, because she lives too far away for it to be convenient for either one of us). Never mind that the snow was past my knees and never mind that I saw someone get stuck outside of my house. No. Despite all those factors, I should have magically transported myself into the store on time. Oh, bullshit. I can't say anything about this until Saturday for a number of reasons. One, Huang won't be in the store until Saturday. Two, I don't want to get Evie in trouble for telling me prematurely (but you guys are okay... lol, but see? Solidarity. And I love Evie). And three, Flores won't be in the store until at least Saturday, so I can't try to go above Huang's head with it. And I need to badger Flores about my three cents, anyway. But should I know about my own write-up first? Bit rude.

If Flores denies me, I will keep going up; I will go to the President of the whole fucking company if I have to; that write-up is not staying on my record. There is no way in hell. And this only happened because of the TV incident, and the rest followed as being blown out of proportion.

Oh, and did I mention if we want to use our discounts, we have to wait until one of the Karens is in the store? They don't trust us; they're babysitting. Consequently, we can't trust them.

Plus, Evie and Ariana are "competing" for the asst. manager position, which means one of us can move up, as I mentioned. But no one wants that to happen. Of course, that all depends on IF they bring someone in from Times Square, and no one wants that to happen either. Why this is all coming down on us is beyond me....

I need some rest.
