I had a day off today, so I took a chance to get some things done.

My first stop was the library. I needed to print out a few copies of my résumé, and I don't have a functioning printer. I also picked up volumes 11-16 of Fushigi Yuugi, but I don't know why. Remember what I said the last time I'd borrowed a few volumes? Augh. But yes, they'll be read, as soon as I finish Memoirs of a Geisha. The Da Vinci Code. READ IT.

I went to the shopping center in Woodside to return the application with my résumé to Michael's. I stopped by the bank and made a deposit. :D I went to Starbucks and GameStop, but they weren't hiring. I got applications, though, so next time I'm in the area I'll drop them off.

I headed into Manhattan for a few things. My first stop was Capezio's Dance on 51st, conveniently located right above the Stardust. I can never forget where either place is, haha. Capezio's was where I got the leotard that I use(d) as Reka's bathing suit. :::nod::: So I looked around at unitards for me and Lynda. Lynda wants one to be Sheik for Otakon. :::drool::: I want one to be a Pikmin for... eventually. Hot dog, hot dog, hot dog! I came back with a few prices -- also, ballet shoes are on sale! -- so I'll let Lynda know later. Or perhaps now, if she's reading this entry. XD I am hopeful for those costumes. Thirty dollars doesn't seem like too much money, especially when it's almost the whole thing.

Next stop was the Nintendo Store, and I have to dedicate a cut to this because I have pictures! )

After Ninty, I went to Sanrio just to look because I was in the area, and because they have a lot of stuff that we never will. Karen Huang was there and told me how she'd gotten our Pre-Order back, but we won't have it until September because it's ordered four months in advance. As it's only May.... I bought a Shinkansen umbrella that will protect me from the rain! GASP! and Chococat jammies. Summer jammies! Cute jammies for breakfast parties at conventions! ... Maybe.

Got some food and came home. Yay.

Fernando IMed me and tried to explain what happened on Monday. I didn't post because I was too upset, but here's the short version. He said he had a "church thing" and wanted to switch shifts with me on Monday. After much begging. Because it was a "church thing," I agreed. Reluctantly. Tuesday, he started bragging about how much fun the immigrant rally was.

I'm AGAINST the immigrant rallies (seriously. They're illegal. They're breaking the law. Everyone at that rally should have been asked for papers or deported). >_<#

He didn't tell me the truth and used CHURCH to cover it up. D: If he weren't already going to hell for being gay.... (THAT'S A JOKE. I don't really believe gays are going to hell because they're gay.)

So today he tried to convince me that he told me about the rally. Maybe he DID tell me he wanted to go, but it was out of context. He clearly said he had a CHURCH THING, and I clearly said, "I'll let you switch, but only because it's church." How stupid am I, coming to the conclusion that he'd be doing something religious? How illogical! Not only did he try to trick me AGAIN, but he said that there was no need to get dramatic, and either signed off or blocked me.

Because that's mature.

So I can't wait until work tomorrow! D: Did I mention job-hunting?

That's about it. I've been writing this for quite some time.... chronicling my adventures on 48th St., mostly. Hope you enjoyed that. If you didn't look, maybe you should. It's a virtual tour of the Nintendo Store (that rhymes!) and if you don't live in the area, and don't know if/when you'll visit, at least you can live vicariously through me. See? I love you guys. I CARE about you. XD
