( Article here! )I LOLed when I found this article on my daily hunt for the newspaper's
sudoku puzzle.
Unrelatedly, I found the following in a book and it puzzled me for a moment:
"The first singing telegram issued by Western Union was delivered by an operator named Lucille Lipps to American vocalist Rudy Vallee on July 28, 1933, in honor of his thirty-second birthday. She sang 'Happy Birthday to You.'"
Now maybe I was just very tired, but I read the phrase "thirty-second birthday" more than once and I wondered how anyone's birthday could be so short. I don't know how much time had passed before I realized that ol' Rudy had turned thirty-two. DUH, Venus.
As for my day, it went fairly well. I woke up early to get some more cleaning done and realized I've got a whole BIN full of cosplay items, weapons not included. The plastic tub that the whole mess is sitting in measures 16" x 20" x 14" (41cm x 51cm x 36cm), and it's filled to the very top. No wonder my suitcase can't hold it all any longer! If I do come up with anymore costumes, though, I WILL need a separate closet. Oh, boy.
Today was payday, and, as expected, I did very nicely thanks to the overtime I pulled two weekends ago. I also ran into Christy at the bank. She got there before me, so I'm not worried about Seto sending his sister to watch after me (or, at least, I wasn't today).
INVENTORY. We counted shit. We're counting shit tomorrow, and we're counting shit on Sunday. It'll be fun! >.>; It's going surprisingly smoothly, however; we haven't had to call out for many SKU numbers. Perhaps there'll be fewer mistakes this time, and less money lost.
Anyway, I open. Bedtime, hopefully, without the nightmares. XD
