So, on less than a full night's sleep, I worked my ten to five. Evie informed me in the morning that Elaina had quit. GREAT. So now we're down to three associates, impossible scheduling, and no lives for anyone. Even if I were to talk to Flores NOW, she'd never promote me (she had already left, Wednesday, by the time I got to work). So, that's good.
Elaina was supposed to be the mid today, so no big deal, because I still had Diana coming in at three (at least Ariana coming in at one-thirty). Or so I thought. Ariana clocked in at 3:22 Sanrio Time (which is 3:29 IRL), and Diana's -- pardon my use of the phrase -- babydaddy* called at four-thirty to say she wasn't going to be in.
Oh, really. Like I couldn't have guessed. Because she wasn't already an hour and a half late. >:O
Ariana and Evie decided to give Wendy a ring to see if she could come in. Around half past five, she called back, saying she couldn't. Evie gave me the choice to stay. While it's obvious what I chose, I felt I HAD to. Evie is not only overtired (I've never seen her eyes so puffy. D:), but she got some really bad news, akin to the stuff that I received in November, and she broke into pieces on the floor, while changing sections around. I couldn't rest easily knowing that poor Evie would be stuck at work, in that state, and catch hell for making too many hours later, so I had to step in and choose to do the double.
The funny part is? It didn't even seem like it. EW.
And so all I did was work today. I don't even care. But I AM upset that no one likes to give a two weeks' notice -- Nathalie, Kaila, Fernando and now Elaina all just up and left -- and that I've, twice, gotten stuck with doubles on account of Elaina's carelessness. That's not fair to me. I'm upset that Diana's pregnant and she's probably gonna milk it for everything it's worth... stupid cow.
In the midst of that, there's good news. I submitted an application to CUNY this week, so, with luck, I shall return to an institution of higher education this spring. Evie's also going to school, for cosmetology. We high-fived each other because yay, we're moving on. ... Hopefully, work will let us. XD
*I hate that word. Hate, hate, HATE. It's so ... IGNORANT. AUGH!!
