Oct. 27th, 2006 12:01 amWoke up and called Wendy... an hour and a half after I had intended to. XD
Chatted with Olua a bit, about how everyone on her floor seemed to be drunk. Lynda came over not too long after that because her mother was driving her mad. We went to her doctor's appointment, then back home and started dinner: tuna and green bean casseroles. Yummy! (She's the one who gave me my recipies, so she's the woman to thank behind the only thing I really enjoy making that's not a baked good). While that was going, Lynda decided she wanted to play a game. We had a little fun with Katamari Damacy, and didn't touch DDR because her mother had come home and we'd be stomping above the chandelier, but we spent most of our time on FF9.
I LOVE that game.
I'd only meant to show Lynda the very beginning, up to the swordfight with Blank because OMFG FLAMENCO YAY MELT. But, she REALLY took to it, which I didn't expect at all. I wasn't gonna complain. She got through the Festival of the Hunt before she took me home, and though Freya won at the last second -- almost literally -- she said she was going to play through it again until she won. And we must half played through the swordfight a dozen times. She got ninety-seven and a quite impressed Queen Brahne.
And now I'm upset that I don't own the game. I shall play Pikmin 2 instead.
Justin linked me to this, and I think the song is really cute.
