OMFG YAY!

So guess what! Turns out that Yamada-shachou didn't show up to the store on Wednesday! But, LOL, he and Carmen both stopped by first thing in the morning! WHEEEEE! It seemed as though they were at least pleased with the store, although Yamada-shachou said he couldn't figure out why people didn't want to buy anything at the store.

I really wanted to say that it's not that they don't want to buy anything, but that if they had to buy something, it had better be as inexpensive as possible because they're some cheap MFers, but it really wasn't my place. I spoke when spoken to.

Shaking hands and bowing simultaneously was really cool, although fairly awkward the first time, and I know I didn't bow nearly as low as I should have. [/n00b]

Carmen promised that she would take all seven of us to dinner if we could make goal the whole weekend. While it's a nice thought to entertain (we did make goal, but it was only $400), the goals are astronomical this weekend. Maybe people will be like, "Holy crap! It's December! I'd better buy stuff!" but probably not. D:

The calendar's cute this month. I'm going back for cuteness than subliminal messages (BUY STUFF) that don't work. Blehhhh. I open with Nelcy tomorrow, who will have a piece of my mind about telling me things directly.

Other than that, nothing really to talk about. I had to help Phill re-write his resignation letter, and because I'm so anal and everything has to be OMFG PERFECT -- because you guys know me -- it took three hours. But now I should probably get to sleep. ... Probably. I was up to 6:30 yesterday morning and was fine today.

Anyway. ... Yeah. That's it.

Aside of Nelcy's pestering me to step from behind the counter when customers walked in -- while I was working on the stupid calendar -- nothing special happened. Karla called out, and Nicole's doing the mid-close. We got our checks before three!

I did tell Nelcy to talk to ME about any problems (or compliments) that she has with me, and she actually said she didn't think it was appropriate to discuss things with me. But it's ME. I'd rather hear anything from a person directly involved than from someone else. But, apparently, she doesn't get it, because she called Evie to let her know that Wendy left her a "nasty" note this morning.

I don't think the problem's with us; I really do think it lies in cranky foreign managers.

Anyway, because I don't wanna make myself stupid by focusing on their nonsense, I checked with Lawrence after work to see if he got my résumé. He said he did, and he was very impressed. I should stop by again tomorrow to set up an interview. Yay! (I thought I'd mentioned -- but I guess not -- that Jose had stopped by to bother us on Sunday. We were talking, and he introduced me to Lawrence, who asked for my résumé. Yay, EB Games.)
