But damned if I know what it is. Merry Christmas to all who are celebrating, and Happy Monday/Day Off/Long Weekend to those who aren't.
People wonder why I've grown bitter and apathetic about Christmas, but the day just doesn't mean anything to me anymore. The past three winters of retail work have Scroogified me, I've forgotten what it's like to be excited, and on top of that, I don't get any swag to show for it.
Well, I lie. My friends give me stuff. That's why I like them way more than my family. Lijuan got me a necklace and phone charm with a V on them, and Evie got me a Chococat scarf. They both got me cards, as did Allison and Wendy-and-Louis. I'm not expecting much more than that from anyone else, and my gifts to my coworkers will be homemade cookies later this week (Friday, because it's payday and so everyone should show up).
I didn't get many things for many of my friends, either. I honestly don't know where the time went. It was July, like, twenty minutes ago, I swear!
Anyway, I'm feeling heaps better than yesterday. I've stopped sneezing and sniffling almost completely, which makes me think something at work set me off. Or I'm allergic to Christmas. XD I spent most of today in my bedroom, because there wasn't much else to do. There still isn't.
Think I'll go finish a sidequest or two.
