Another dream.
Jan. 23rd, 2007 07:04 amMan, I really have to lay off the crack or whatever it is I'm on that's making me have these weird dreams.
I don't remember how it started. Phill and I were supposed to go out for Thai chicken, or some nonsense like that. It was supposedly really good, because of the peanut sauce it was swimming in, at least, that's what Phill told me, because I didn't try any. And then suddenly, we were in a house, my grandparents' house, sometime before my grandfather passed, obviously, because he was still alive and so was my aunt. We were eating Superb Soup.
So I knew we couldn't go outside for some reason because there was creepy music playing (I hard the BGM. YES.), but I was too scared to find out why. Finally, I peeked through the window blinds and saw three Stalfos Knights trying to come in the house (but only this one, as there were children in other yards on the block playing without a care in the world. And my house looked different than it should have).
I told Phill, and he said he'd take care of it, so I ran back for the kitchen, where my grampa and aunt and this random little girl were. My family didn't pay much attention to me; they just kinda went about their business, which was weird because a Stalfos had gotten past Phill and was following me. This would have sucked, except it was in the form of another little girl, blonde and blue-eyed, chubby-cheeked, and no more than two years old. She toddled over, and I used the other little girl as a shield -- look how much I love kids, man -- and tried to get her to cry to scare the Stalfos Kid away. She didn't want to cry, even though I kept trying to tell her scary things about Stalfos Kid, like she was coming to eat us, or something.
What WOULD an unarmed Stalfos do?
Anyway, none of it was working so I got the brilliant idea to play patty cake with the girls, and it worked. Everyone enjoyed the game, and we were not eaten or otherwise injured. The creepy music had ended by then, so I left the girls -- family still didn't notice -- to check on Phill, and he'd already defeated the Stalfos Knights. I've got no idea HOW. He told me it was okay, and he opened the door.
It smelled like it had just rained, and the sun was peeking through the clouds. I waved at my mom, who was in the front yard, to let her know that I was okay, and she asked me how the soup was. It was pretty good.
The dream ended there, or kind of faded out, but there was also some nonsense about being in the Nintendo Store, and there was lots of nifty Zelda stuff around, like an entire WALL dedicated to Zelda I. There was a projector acting as the screen so you could see the entire map of Hyrule all at once, and what the caves and dungeons looked like. I think this was before the Thai chicken because Phill was telling me that he found the sunsets interesting, so I stuck around to watch one (because, apparently, you could see the sun, moon, and stars on this map, too). The moons and suns -- two of each -- were out at the same time, and they crossed each other all at once, so the lighting effects they produced were literally blinding, but what was visible really was pretty cool. It looked like some sort of weird backlighting; it's kind of hard to explain.
And then we were watching TV, suddenly, and the show we were watching coincidentally explained how the two moons and two suns and such lighting was possible with a little 3-D model viewed from above. From there, it probably went into the Thai chicken, but I'm unsure of the transition.
And there was something about a bank that had blown up, too, or something, leaving lots of people in some stupid Long Island (and Kentucky?) community without money. They were all on the news. It made me laugh.
