Happy Pi Day!
Mar. 14th, 2007 01:59 amToday's GameFAQs poll surprised me -- and pleased me -- greatly at the same time. ♥ (I obviously have more than ten digits memorized.)
Sanrio's customers continue to piss me off, but mercifully, tomorrow's the last day that I'll have to pop in for work. I get paid for Saturday, so that's awesome! What the true shame is, is that I wasn't scheduled to work Thursday and Friday -- instead of having those as off days -- so I could work once, and get paid for four.
And maybe hang out with Olua. I don't think it's a good idea that you come by on Thursday, by the way. I'll be WAY too tired. I love you, and I know I probably won't get to see you again until May, but.... (that's okay. You can write my The Hour and I'll try to write more of the Sexytime Explosion (there isn't really one, but the post exploded, so, y'know. My posts are sexy anyway)).
I seem to have jumped the gun a bit about the God of War II Launch Party dress code. Upon further inspection, everyone in the evening was following code (though Damian and Keoma, in the morning, were not), except Jonathan. Jose and Lawrence gave an excuse about wearing black GS polos because they had to be outside the store, policing the line (Jonathan was wearing red, so I guess that's okay. But to be honest, I can't think of him NOT wearing that silly shirt. XD). I guess five security guards weren't enough? But Drew and Orlando both had a white shirt and black pants (Drew threw on a toga around seven, which made me giggle), Rani had a white shirt and black skirt, and Alex was my clothes-twin in a white shirt and beige pants.
It was scarily efficient. Any time someone came in for the game, we asked if they'd pre-ordered. If they hadn't, they were out of luck. If they had, we asked if they'd paid in full. If they hadn't, they had to (well, they didn't have to, but if they wanted the game tonight, of course, they did), and if they did, great. Get on line. XD As a result, we didn't have to worry about anyone on the preorder line having paid for his game or not (I TOTLI just had a déjà vu), and they could just hand over a receipt, sign a paper, and get the game. We did manage to sell a few loose copies, even, so that was cool.
And the whole time we were waiting for the game to arrive, no one was in the store, so we could hang out in the hallway and BS and all that (and because no one was in the store, cleaning was very brief). Plus, afterwards, we had pizza. I think I like launch parties. :D Rani and I are already planning what we'll be up to -- costume-wise -- for Pokémon. Yes, I said COSTUME-WISE. ♥
Still, twelve hours on my feet means that they hurt, and by the time I got home, it was already past my bedtime (having narrowly missed both my trains AND my bus. No luck there at all), so it's bedtime, now, mercifully. And tomorrow night, I plan on sleeping VERY well.
HLI stuff is coming along very well. I only have the English part to work on. After that, and the convention, of course (no idea how I'm paying my way. YAY.), I'll get back to work on the long-lost ALttP stuff. Not like I'll have anything better to do.
Oh, and if you've got my cell phone number, don't call me until further notice. It fell out of my pocket the other night, and I didn't realize until the next afternoon. That wouldn't have been so bad if it weren't raining all night, and my phone didn't get absolutely waterlogged to the point of ceasing to function. I'll keep my number in all likelihood, but just don't expect me to answer if you call. ^_^; For now, sleep is very much in order. I'm drained, and I have to do this all again tomorrow?! Bleh.
