About 2:50 yesterday afternoon, I gave Warky a call. I received a couple of (HEAVY) packages that need to go to I-Con this weekend, but as I'm still sick, I told him I didn't know if I could make it. He offered to come pick them up when he gets here in a couple of hours. He also said that he hoped I got better soon and that he'd keep me in his prayers. The prayers seem to be working, because since we ended the conversation, I've been feeling better and better.

I ate more today than I did yesterday, which is a good sign, and I'm keeping it all down, by aid of ginger ale (I love you, Mommy). The cough syrup has all but eliminated my cough (Dad got me some more, but I don't think it's necessary), my fever's stayed down, I can walk and talk, kinda, and do things for myself and such. If it weren't for the slight nausea that I still feel (and the cough, of course), I would say that I'm back to 100%. But I'm not out of the woods yet. Both Tuesday and Wednesday, I seemed to feel better at night, but feel like crap in the morning. We'll see how Thursday goes.

I do have to go to work, so I should be in bed soon. ^_^;; I'll use today as a barometer to see if I'm well enough to go conning this weekend. I really hope I am. If I am, I can't get my hair straightened -- no time -- but I will have an immense amount of packing to do, really quickly. Bleh!

So thank you, Warky, because you seemed to work magic, and thank you, too, everyone else who's wished me well. Your happy thoughts have helped me out a lot. Now let's hope I stay this way!

Warky got to New York safely. He and Joe took the packages and are on their way back to the Island now. I'm feeling heaps better; I slept through the night. Still have the cough, but it's going away, and the nausea's almost completely gone.

Shower time!

"But your pajamas are very shiny, and playing video games has taught me that that means they're powerful."

Apparently, I have Pajamas of Shiny +2. Good to know. :D What? Little Nemo the Dream Master? Man, I HATED Topsy-Turvy World!

If you like at least one of those, keep reading. My job is to introduce you all to GAME: Game and Anime Music Emotions. GAME is a collection of twenty-six musical tracks from various video games and anime, wonderfully brought to life on the piano through original arrangement by my good friend Michael Gluck, otherwise known as PianoSquall. For quite a few years now, PianoSquall has brought joy to the hearts of thousands by performing around the country at dozens of venues. I am one of the many people he's touched, so I know for a fact what I'm talking about: there's something amazing about the way he plays. You can hear and physically feel the love and emotion he puts into every note. Anyone who's ever seen me melt into a puddle at the first chord of Vamo' alla Flamenco knows that that's embarrassingly true.

As PianoSquall, Mike's raised incredible amounts of money for several charities, including the Maryland Food Bank, Race for a Cure, and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society through t-shirt and poster sales, and donations. GAME now presents a chance for greater things to happen, and a full ten percent of the funds generated from GAME will be donated to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. On top of that, Electronic Arts (EA) will exactly match the donation. Not bad!

"How can I help, Venus?" OMG I'M SO GLAD YOU ASKED!!

GAME is available for pre-order via PianoSquall's site (http://www.pianosquall.com), or if you're a little unsure, a free demo is available as well, so you can get a taste of what's in store (it's good stuff, really). All the details (price, track listing and so on) and a message from Mike are on the site, so hop to!

"I never was a normal child. All the other kids were outside being social. I sat on my ass and played video games."

We're glad you did, Mike. :D
