No internets. D:
Apr. 25th, 2007 11:04 amSo, the internet's been out in my house for almost forty-eight hours, now. I don't know what happened yesterday that I was temporarily allowed access -- the cable seems to be fine, so it's a connection problem, but I don't know why -- but it's gone out again and I'm struggling to find something to do. Fortunately, I've been kept busy, and of course, this gives me a chance to get back to the work I should be doing, but still.... it's annoying to wake up early just to check my e-mail, and not do it whenever I want, and in my pajamas to boot.
Also, this computer's really slow, still running an ancient ... everything... and the keyboard sucks so my typing's really slow. Can't have more than one window open at once, so it's no wonder that everything takes so long to do! (And I can't visit your forums, Shona, because the site's been blocked!)
But enough griping.
Monday night, I saw Hot Fuzz with Phill. I'd wanted to see that movie since I saw the preview for it, and more since Ian mentioned it in his blog. ^_^ I enjoyed it. I also had ice cream, and never realized that strawberries and caramel would go so well together.
Yesterday, I visited Shaina at her mommy's house, and met Jayson. He's an adorable, tiny little thing, and looks EXACTLY like his father. He slept a lot and fussed a lot, and Shaina well and truly scared me with ... um ... things she did. Changing the baby wasn't one of them; Liz did that and that's already scary enough. Bleeeeeeeh.
It's funny. The more I talk to mothers, the more I DON'T want children. It's quite frightening.
And I think that's it... before my first session ends. Still have a lot of stuff to do. Sigh. The floor's being redone in the house so there's a lot of noise and people and I'm more or less stuck upstairs all day anyway (yeah, big complaint here... well, it is when I can't talk to anyone). Yes. >.>
