I was in an exceptionally good mood at work tonight and ever started humming as I worked. Rani and I had the store clean at seven o'clock; I started at five and she started at six. After that, we just floated, making sure that things stayed in place; around eight-thirty, I took over register when Alex said he'd grown tired of it. Because I'd stayed on register for the last hour, the store fell slightly out of order, and so it took twenty extra minutes to clean it again. HORRORS. But I just didn't care all day, and I knew it, and it was a secret. It was awesome. I feel invincible!

Rani and Alex know that I'm leaving now; I told Alex on the train; we were talking about it. Rani, well, she's known for quite some time. I guess everyone else'll find out this week.

Here's the schedule that made me laugh:
Sun 5/13: 5:00-8:15 (wtf?) So I'm going to the game tomorrow, but I've got to go to work when it's over. If I'm late, then I'm late. I don't care.
Mon 5/14: OFF (Lu, you'll see me bright and ... afternoony.)
Tue 5/15: OFF (Lynda, I'll see you, too.)
Wed 5/16: OFF
Thu 5/17: OFF
Fri 5/18: OFF (OMG, SHREK 3)
Sat 5/19: 5:00-11:00 OFF. No fucking way I'm working on my birthday, when it falls on a weekend, and especially not closing (I refuse to clean on my birthday). Of course, I'll ask to change the day, but if not, um, *snicker* no. I'm just not showing up.

I re-read my letter and... damn. That was pretty strong. :D

Dad bought a new router tonight; I'll see what I can do about installing it tomorrow evening. In the meantime, off to bed with me.

Happy Mothers/Mothers'/Mother's Day, first of all. (I'm not sure which one it is; even the grammar_whores seem to be in disagreement with each other. Personally, I back the second one.)

I went to the Mets game this afternoon. A while ago, Lou had donated blood and as a thank-you, she received two tickets to today's game, and decided to invite me so we could celebrate our birthday. The game was awesomely fun.

Ignore the Metsrabble, please. )

Then I went to work. I'd screamed myself hoarse in the eighth inning, so I spent my time cleaning instead of working the register. The store was clean quickly again, and I was ready to go AT eight o'clock. D was slow with the paperwork, so I hung around, but we were still out before nine. :O

....And now I'm here. :D
