Movie!

Aside of being a bum and wasting a couple of hours on FoMT, I went to the movies tonight with Nigel to see Stardust. I'd seen an ad for it in the paper not too long ago, and because it had Robert DeNiro -- who I ADORE -- I decided I had to go see it. Trouble was, with who? A few nights ago, Nigel and I decided we hadn't seen each other in a long time, and that we were going to catch a movie. Said movie, Satrdust.

It was amazingly adorable, and I have to read the book now (in reverse order so I'm not like "the movie SUCKED!"). And my favorite scene, not so surprisingly, was one of DeNiro's. There were cutesy moments and funny moments, and I cheered at the end. I also stayed after the credits -- Nigel is my type of dude -- and was treated to a healthy pirate cheer. RARRRRR! Go see it!

Also, this was in Union Square, so we'd met up at Forbidden Planet, where I couldn't help but buy the August issue of NewType. :::bites lip::: Also, I got a kabob and soda for FOUR BUCKS from a street vendor! WAY TO GO, MANHATTAN! You've impressed me. I wanted to stop for chocolate, but I know I didn't have enough money for that (well, I did, but not enough to waste), and because I don't need to be in a sugar coma. ... And that's about all.

Edit: I also want to do this on Saturday, but I have no idea if I'll be able to make it in time because of the I-Con meeting. D: There are a couple of LIRR stations nearby (two via bus, the third is a mile-long walk, the most infrequent service, but of course, it's the closest of the three) that I could use to dash into the city, but I'm not sure if the meeting, which starts at one, will be short enough. I cry. Maybe I'll just download the .mp3 and play it at four o'clock anyway, and imagine what would be going on downtown....
