Jan. 8th, 2008 12:28 amIs it okay to say I had a good day today? I don't want to jinx it.
Work was pretty dumb. I started by myself and Paola joined me at ten. Ash left a short to-do list, and I got most of it done before Paola showed up. I've never ordered change before so I hope it comes tomorrow! :O
Last night, Laura called me and wondered if I could possibly meet in Brooklyn today and naturally, I agreed, spur-of-the-moment though it was. It turned out all right, though, because Michelle called partway during the day and gave me tomorrow off, in addition to my three days. SCORE.
On my break, I wandered through Hot Topic and found a Domo-kun wristband. I snatched it off the shelf. I also found a Triforce PENDANT and fingerless black gloves. I left with all three items.
Work was dumb because it was labelling all the watches again. It took my entire shift, but it went faster than last time because now I know most of the names. But very few of the watches were labelled since we've been shifting stuff around during holidays. Still, it was a nice, busy way to pass the time. And I finished! ^_^
At four I left for Brooklyn, and was on campus shortly after five. We went grocery shopping (I picked up detergent and dryer sheets so I can get stuff DONE tomorrow), and Michele made us pasta with AWESOME SAUCE (no, it was sauce that was awesome), and we watched videos while it was going. In the madness was the first episode of Kodocha, which I enjoyed, and the first episode of Ouran, which, sadly, did not thrill me. ... I desperately wanted Haruhi to keep the glasses.
Laura lent me one of her blue shirts for the day, as I didn't have one from work because it looks stupid under my uniform. Unfortunately, we didn't get much dancing done until well after I was supposed to have left. I didn't, of course, and stuck around until ten, which wouldn't have been so bad, except that by that time of night, it's a two-hour schlep home. Indeed, I arrived here just before midnight (so, more like ninety minutes, really, which isn't bad!).
We briefly went over the beginning of D&D, but we couldn't accomplish much because I DID have to go home. But we've got a nice little plan for Thursday and Friday, and I might stick around Saturday morning, too. I'm stoked!
And apparently, I'm a Gerudo. I knew that. XD
(OMG Guillermo took a great picture of Locke at NYAF! ♥)
