Another bullet list.

•I missed the second half of the Superbowl and was surprised to learn the Giants won. Not that anyone cares, though. If it were the Yankees (or even the Mets) in the World Series, everyone would be like FUCK YEAHHHHH. I think I saw, what, one person wearing a Giants sweatshirt this week? XD Football > Baseball? MY ASS.

•As for work, I have to LOL. Today's Sunday, so the store opened at eleven, and I decided to call at noon. Sara picked up and informed me that today was her last day. D: Anyway, I asked for Michelle, and she wasn't in the store. I asked for the schedule, and I'm not on it this week. So I thanked Sara and called Michelle's house -- her primary phone number -- and there was no answer. I called her cell phone and got her voicemail so I left a message asking to please return my call on my cell phone. My cell's been in my pocket all day, and I never received a call back. I did my time at Roosevelt Field. I'm not going back. So. Day off again tomorrow. Yay!

•Speaking of days off, my dad bought my plane tickets for this weekend. I leave Saturday morning from Kennedy at 8:30, and I'll be back Sunday afternoon at Kennedy at 3:00. A whole thirty hours! I hate flying, I have no gift, and I have nothing to wear, but Chicago! Yay! ^_^

•My dance shirt has sleeves! I think I'll have enough time to play with the rest of it tomorrow; I'll be able to salvage sleeve cuffs out of the old sleeves and the collar out of the old shirt. I also need white thread because I have none. XD

•Stone Tower is a HEADTRIP. (Everyone who IMed me, I'm sorry I didn't respond; my mouse froze, and I didn't think to exit AIM or restart my computer before I left for dinner, which was a very long affair.)

•Jake's Barbecue on Columbia Street in Brooklyn has excellent food. I suppose I was a bit hungry, as I easily ate a piece of cornbread, two porkchops, collard greens, yellow rice, three taaaaaall iced teas, and most of a super-chocolatey brownie. I cleaned up. There're also a few pieces of the appetizer platter left over that are sitting in the fridge now. Breakfast. :p

That seems to be more or less everything. Pictures tomorrow, maybe?

Ain't this some bullshit.

Yeah, I'm still upset about work. I just got off the phone with Michelle; she called me back not too long ago, but I was in the shower. But, see, I'm considerate enough that I'll call back immediately when I have a voicemail. :::rolls eyes::: Anyway.

So she was like, "Anthony gave you your schedule for this week," and I was like "Yeah. He did. But you only asked me to go for two weeks. And I did, but now I don't want to go back." and blah blah blah. So they still need coverage in that store. So then why was I only given sixteen and a half hours this week (fewer than last week, which is fewer than the week before)? That doesn't make any sense. I told Michelle that, too, but I also said I'd take it up with Anthony when he calls.

And he WILL call because it's nineteen minutes before he wanted me to start and I'm sitting here in undies and a bath towel (sexy, I know).

I complained that Michelle didn't ask me, and that she always asks me to go. She actually said, "Well, you know what? We're employees of Swatch. So we have to be flexible and go where we're needed." Um, excuse me? So send someone else! Make them bend over fucking backwards. Just because I went this time doesn't mean I'll ever want to go again. Do you mean to tell me if there were only two stores, say here and ALASKA, and the Alaska store was short-staffed, I'd have to get on a twelve-hour flight every day, which is physically IMPOSSIBLE to do?! I don't fucking THINK so.

And if what she's saying is true, that I have to be flexible, does that mean I never really had a choice? Fuck that shit! I did a FAVOR. Not an OBLIGATION. And if they don't like it, they can suck my proverbial cock.

Edit, 13:44 - Dan just called me. XD He got off the phone with Anthony and Michelle and decided to speak with me personally to find out what's going on. Isn't that nice? Actually, it really is. I explained everything that happened, and he said that it was "unfair that [I was] caught in the middle," and that he'll speak with Anthony and Michelle again. And then he asked me if I could finish the schedule that Anthony had set for me this week, and I agreed because he AAAAAAAASKED. Fucking finally, someone's got some sense.

P.S. If I'm only on the schedule for three days this week, today included, does that mean Michelle fed me even MORE bullshit about this weekend being MANDATORY? Oh ho ho ho. Can't wait to get her with that. Goddesses, it's like these people don't want me to believe or trust them!

Progress post #5 (with pictures! OF ME!)

'Tis Monday, and two weeks into the epic project known as my dance outfit, with not a fortnight left. I didn't make much progress this week, as I was quite disappointed for most of it, but I can't let my girls down, so I got right back on the horsie.
