Whaaaaaaaaat?

Forgive me for being inspired by Thursday's marvelous weather -- my only regret is that I had to work and go to the bank and was stuck inside buildings and buses most of the day -- but I felt wonderful. I felt like I should spend time outside. I felt like I should spend time outside sewing.

I didn't get any sewing done, least of all outside. But! I did get started on ~*Watertribe*~!Sokka, so that's something. And shirts are annoyingly easy, so. If this works out well, I might use the same pattern for Piandao!Sokka soon (not before FireNation!Toph is done, though, naturally). ANTICIPATION! And since I've got all the fabric and pins and scissors and everything laid out and ready to go tomorrow, and it's supposed to be a boring rainy day, I can settle in and get a few inches' of seams done, right? :D

Perhaps I should make a progress post on Monday like I'd been doing with IchiRe?

David and Jose WHO?

My new love is Angel Pagán, okay? Okay. Tonight's game has converted me (and I will probably take the words back later in the season when Wright and Reyes get up and running and Alou comes back, but for now, they stand (Also, I used to think it weird that MLB players are my age, but now I'm loving it; I can better appreciate my players. Sure they're awesome as-is, but there are certain charms about them that, untrained as they are, do not escape my female eyes. Where were these guys when I was in junior high, though? D: (Puerto Rico, DR, and Virginia, apparently.)).). And Figueroa's family tonight, not to mention Figueroa himself, were made of ADORABLE.

Sewing! One day's worth of progress isn't so bad. It's slow going doing this by hand, but I had some videos to keep me busy, and I will continue to sew until bed. I've basted the shirt together, and it doesn't look so bad, but it does look like I've made it too big, especially at the shoulders (the shoulders ALWAYS kill me). Better big than small, though.

I'm working on the collar now. Collars always give me trouble because the work is so tedious. And the collar is nice and long, because it has to wrap around the entire thing, so it's taking forever. A whole baseball game later, and I'm still just halfway done.

Tomorrow I open, so weather permitting, I can enjoy the day. Doesn't look like that'll be the case, though, since it's mighty foggy out right now. Ah, well. Back to work!
