This is a first!
Jun. 29th, 2008 07:04 pmYou guys are reading my very first ever post-while-tipsy. I refuse to allow myself to get drunk, and honestly, I'm not feeling very good right now. I might lie down for a bit before I have something to eat. But yeah, I'm not all here, and I'm typing surprisingly well. :D
See, I went to the hospital this afternoon to visit my niece. Last week, one of my nephews was heating water for tea, and Akayla somehow pulled it down on herself and she got burned on her face and chest. While I heard it was a lot worse a couple of days ago, I was preparing myself for something catastrophic, so I was VERY happy to see that she was nowhere near what I had envisioned. That doesn't mean she's hunky-dory; no, her skin is a bit raw, still, but from what I can tell, it looks like she'll be okay and she might not suffer any scarring. That's awesome.
I mean, she IS okay. She's all happy and was looking at the boats in the water and the cars on the FDR, and was upset when we tried to pull her away from the window (she'll be two next month).
After I left the hospital with my dad, we found ourselves at his Legion post. And while I agreed to having one beer, I didn't realize three would be put in front of me. Normally, that wouldn't be a problem, but it was today because I didn't have anything to eat yet. Oops.
There's pizza waiting for me downstairs, and as soon as I can get my bearings well enough to go down and get it, I will. LMAO I feel SO LAME right now. But I think I did pretty well, and from what I can see, there isn't a single typo in this post. RAWK.
