Another interesting item currently found in my house.

DOT street signs are twenty-four inches wide by nine inches high. The numbers -- since this is Queens and we have numbered streets -- are four inches wide, six-and-a-half inches high, and two inches apart. The letters (Av(e), St, Pl, etc.) are two and a half inches wide, two inches high, and half an inch apart. The particular sign in the house is from 99 Av, one block north of where I live (100 Av).
