Happy half-birthday to me! ♥ That's right, only six more months until I can start thinking about maybe experiencing warm weather! \^0^/ It's going to drop into the twenties tonight, and the only thing I'm grateful for is a lack of wind. Tomorrow night will be just as cold, and considering I won't leave work until eleven at least (and I have to open on Friday!), I'm not looking forward to it.

Work is dumb. Anyway.

After work, I hung out with Guillermo. We did a little bit of math tutoring and chasing Ruby away from my stuff. I died a little bit, but just a little, and most of it because it's cold and I've been feeling that.

We went to the new ramen place -- Setagaya, I think it was called -- and were greeted with a hearty "IRASSHAIMASE~~~~" I wasn't expecting that so my squeaky "HI!" came out, haha. We both had shoyu ramen with curry rice (which was exactly what I had last time at Menkui-tei), because the place is still pretty new and they don't have their full menu yet. The curry was delicious and the ramen was AMAZING. The pork was so tender and the egg, oh my gosh, the egg! I've never had such a delicious boiled egg! T_T

Before Setagaya, though, we passed a place called Toy Tokyo, and my curiosity was piqued. Guillermo was surprised that he hadn't shown me the place before, so we went inside. I dropped twenty-five dollars on three figures and ZELDA MINTS. I have hero breath! The figures, by the way, were a Cowboy Bebop closed box (I wound up with Julia, and I knew it was going to be her, too!), one of a set of happy milk cartons by tokidoki (SO AMAZINGLY CUTE. And they had tokidoki bags there, too. I want one, but you know how stupidly expensive they are), and something else called Welcome to Strawberry-chan's House, which is a bunch of very tiny, strawberry-themed room furnishings. I bought it because it's what the ichiP! house is going to be like one day. I wound up with the fondue set, which has about a bajillion pieces.

After Setagaya, we wanted dessert, and they didn't have much in the way of, so we went across the street to Jasmine Mart to pick up some snacks. I wound up with ECONOMY SIZE POCKY and two bottles of, you guessed it, Calpis. Then I went home and now I'm here, trying to recover from having had cold air in my lungs.

I got some sewing done, but not much, because most of my travels were during rush hour, and because I sort of forgot to attach the pockets in my half-asleep stupor this morning. I figure I can get on it tomorrow before work, when I can take my time with it. I'm very happy that I want to do nothing but sit and sew. Screw you, Harvest Moon!

Time to find homes for my new dollies (keeping in mind that Mr. Faulkner will be moving in shortly). Perhaps more pinning and consumption of Pocky (I feel like such an ASS when I buy it, for the record, but there wasn't anything else as cheap!).
