Three steps forward, half a mile back.

Hung out with Lynda after work today (I took Claritin this morning on a very empty stomach so the cats didn't kill me). We made nachos and watched Merlin (Helena Bonham Carter, I love you so much! ♥). We took a break after the movie, in which Lynda took some time to rip some DVDs, but that's when the cats started getting to me. We tried staving off the inevitable with Jeopardy! (which I kicked ass at, thanks to all that useless information I know that'll never get me anywhere), and Wheel of Fortune (which Lynda kicked ass at), but the cats won and she wound up bringing me home. I lent her my DS games and some more Wii games, since I'm not gonna be using them anytime soon.
At work, Ms. Carol told me that since hours were being cut, I don't have to work tomorrow. Upon checking the schedule for next week, I don't have work again until Tuesday, and the three shifts I do have next week are all until three-ish. Who's up for hanging out? I want to visit my grandmother with my mother tomorrow, but I hear it's supposed to snow a lot, so I don't know if we'll be going. That makes me a little sad, since I haven't seen my grandmother since the middle of October.
Also at work, I discovered a birdhouse that looks JUST like the castles from Super Mario Bros. while I was cleaning on Wednesday night. I bought one today, and I'm going to paint it appropriately and stick a flag on the top (and maybe do yarn-poms for the fireworks!) and ONE DAY when I have my own place to live, my birds will have the coolest birdhouse EVER.
In the meantime, more Link's Awakening. Where are those STUPID golden leaves?!
