I was late to work this morning, not that I cared. For some reason, inspiration struck me to add notes to some of ichiP!'s videos, so I did, and jumped in the shower fifteen minutes before I was supposed to leave. That resulted in my coming out of the shower two minutes after I was supposed to have left, which meant I was going to miss the bus. I missed the bus that runs once every half-hour on Sunday mornings. There's no other bus I could take, Mom and Dad were already gone for church, and taking a taxi requires extra money. So I stayed home for the next twenty minutes.

Got to work a half-hour late and Sandy was there. o_o; Did someone hear of my plans to call out? (I needed to go back anyway; I'd left my book on the counter!) Sandy said that, while she was working yesterday, Doucheboss (oooh, I like that. I'm keeping it!) asked if she could come in at eight in the morning, despite that he was the one I'd asked to switch my schedule with Sandy's today. Whatever; it was nice to have someone to work with.

Not that we got much done, with spending a half-hour trying to get the dry mount machine to work, and figuring out that we couldn't do half of the projects on the list, and being bothered with more asinine bullshit (not like yesterday, though). In the midst of it all, we were talking, and I announced that I've figured it all out. She thinks my version of events is quite plausible; I'll be writing that down tomorrow, but in a private post.

John came in which was our cue to go, but we had to finish things, so Sandy left around a quarter after two, and I left at half past two (got my full four hours after all).

PRATT.

Took Laura and Michele forever to show up, and Amanda missed me. Got in the building eventually, Bethany and Josephine were also up in Laura's room. There were SOME pictures taken in the madness, but it was a lot of funtiem hangin' out. A trip to the C-Store won us some goodies. Must somehow haul all my costumes to Laura's next time so she can take pictures of me ALL DAY. ... It'll likely be a weekend venture, lol.

And then Bethany showed us these videos, of women SERIOUSLY in love with objects. I made an "I love you, Ocean!" joke because I couldn't believe that nonsense, but it was ... well, see for yourself. It gets pretty weird and pretty GROSS at times, be warned! X_X

So I meant to go home shortly after that, around nine, but Laura, Erica, and I were talking (Josephine and Amanda left, Bethany was playing with her computer and Michele was asleep) about ichiP!lans and the party we're having when Adri and Nicole get home. We're very excited about it. XD

AND THE SNOW WAS CRAZY. But now I'm going to bed, where it's nice and warm~

So I just finished detailing what's going on in my private post, and I'm very happy with it. It felt nice. It also took two and a half hours to write, so there went my morning. @_@

Interesting news: apparently, there's a SNOW DAY in the city (I know this because my mother is home). It must have come down really hard last night. We NEVER get snow days. I still haven't looked outside, but when I do, I'll call TJS to see if I still have class tonight.

I haven't gotten any room cleaning done, because I've been writing, but we'll see how much that will not change if I don't have school. :D

I feel better today.

Class tonight was okay. There was review of last week's lesson on asking permission, slightly switched up by asking if things were okay. For example, say I'm supposed to write something in pen. I learned how to ask if it's okay if I used a red pen (or if it's okay if it's red, because we learned adjectives, too. I-type adjectives, anyway. The form was -kutemokamaimasen, so I guess for na-types, it's -nitemokamaimasen). Took me a long damn time to figure out that that's what Aizawa-sensei was trying to teach us. I really hate not speaking English (though I was slightly more confident in my "WHAT I DID THIS WEEKEND" speech. Tomodachi-chans to shashin wo torimashita. Fufufufu. Donna shashin? Tomodachi no kosuchuumu (costume) to kimono no shashin desu! I was kinda awesome).

After that, there was a lesson on comparison, and I knew exactly where I'd taken notes on that from Stony Brook, so I quickly flipped to that page in my notebook. Good thing I'm learning all this, because it was what we did towards the end of the JPN 112, so I never really got a handle on it. And now I shall, 'specially cuz I've got shukudai. ^_^

Spoke on the phone with Shaina just now. SHE HAD NO IDEA that, at her sixteenth birthday party (which was a relatively small affair at home because she'd already had a Bat Mitzvah), I made out with my then-boyfriend, Danny, in her kitchen (my first "real" kiss, actually). Danny and Shaina have been BFFs since they were in diapers. She actually asked Danny about it while I was on the phone with her, laughing my ass off. I was crying before long. That was a good laugh.

The snow, by the way, was kinda ridiculous. While Manhattan looks like nothing happened (and that's why class wasn't cancelled tonight. I hate Manhattan like Kefka hates everything), it's nearly up to my knees in my front yard. I know I've got short legs, but still. I wanted to take pictures of it for you last night, [livejournal.com profile] raspberrysorbet, but it was too late and too cold. Besides, not many people had been outside so my own footprints would have spoiled it for you. D:

Gonna get some BIDEO GEEMU in before bed. :D
