Dramedy masks. Because that summarizes today.
THE YAY:
•I have four hours next week. They're going to try to call me in and I'm going to say no. And today, I did, like, NO work, but six hours flew by (I also played sick because while I got better through the day, I actually wasn't feeling well when I showed up. Doucheboss ws appropriately douchy). It was phenomenal. So I can make it to Kinokuniya tomorrow, Guillermo and I are going furniture shopping on Thursday, and I have nearly the entire week to clean (or at least the MTW stretch).
•Lots of Shaina's (and therefore Jayson's) family showed up to the party. I saw a few Delgados that I haven't in about four or five years (I'm talkin' 157th St.). Wow, those kids got huge. And I can't imagine Eric calling himself E-dawgz, but according to Aunt Cindy, he does (I love how I call Shaina's aunt and uncles Aunt X and Uncle Y, as though they were my own). o_O; Jayson himself is still adorable. He likes regular little-boy things, and says "frog" as "fok," which sounded so much like "fuck" the first time I heard it, I wondered why he wasn't getting fullnamed. Jayson also likes B-A-T-H-Ses, and will, apparently, strip naked and run to the bathroom when he hears the word.
THE NOT-YAY:
•I took the 7 train to get to Shaina's mom's and was carried by Shea Stadium. Rather, I was carried by the pile of rubble formerly known as Shea Stadium. I actually cried. Citi Field may be in Queens, but it will never be home. I used to smile when I saw the blue monstrosity; so many things are just ... gone. And what's with the newscrew saying that Citi Field is "almost" done? Bitches, it had BETTER be almost done! Opening Day is less than a month away!
•Shaina keeps mentioning it. I think she's trying to get me over it through numbing repetition, but that's not how I deal with shit. How many times do I have to tell people not to push me with shit because I will come to it when I'm goddamn motherfucking READY. Worse still, tonight was the first time Liz has ever kicked me out. :/ Slightly annoying is that my favorite sweater smells a bit like cigarette smoke, as between Liz, Brian, and Aunt Cherie, there was always a lit one somewhere (how my allergy wasn't triggered, I honestly DON'T KNOW). :///
•I don't know if I missed lulz tonight. Whatever, I've got next Saturday off. :V
THE EXTREMELY YAY:
•IT'S UP.
Happy Pi Day.
