Tonight's class was better than last week's, even if we did more comparing. Well, not quite comparing, since we threw the Japanese version of the superlative into the mix.

Superlative is "-est." Yeah, there's a name for it! Like tall, taller, tallest, the comparative adjective is "taller," and the superlative is "tallest." They don't have -er or -est in Japanese, though; I don't quite know how to explain the comparative because I'm not sure how to explain one of the words (hou), but superlative uses the phrase "number one," which is hilarious to me for some odd reason.

Of course, there was more question-making, which I hate, so we were going on about comparing two objects or deciding between all three. It's still really annoying. Like, I GET this format already. I understood it two weeks ago. Can we PLEASE for the LOVE OF NAYRU do something else now?!

And, in a way, my prayers were answered. There was a little bit of kanji instruction in the last ten minutes of class. Some worksheets were handed out and I took mine with glee... only to find out that I knew all of them already. What a fucking cocktease. However, I did learn a little bit of important radical information, so it wasn't a total loss. But seriously, onna and otoko? Those were first-semester kanji at Stony. I've known those for at least five years. :|

We got buttloads of homework, too. There were at least three handouts, plus we hve to do a writing assignment which wouldn't be so bad if it didn't include making up more shit. I hate that, did I mention? Augh. At least I've got a week to do it, and class wasn't as bad tonight as it has been.

Also, since class is at TJS and KRAZY! is also at TJS, I thought it would be wise to check in advance for the cosplay party next week. Apparently, the tickets we have are NOT good, because the admission fee includes admission to the exhibition as well (so I guess we can save that extra ticket for Nicole, guys, and the six of us can go together another time, right? Besides, I'm sure with all the otaku flooding the place that day, we won't really have time or room to see anything). I would have signed all four of us up tonight, but I only had twenty dollars on me. The guy at the desk informed me that if we register over the phone, it's an extra $1.50, or on the internet an extra $3 (or maybe $3 for the phone and $1.50 for the internet. I forgot. Also, I hear student price is $8 instead of the normal ten, but you'd probably have to flash your IDs, so I can't help you there). I forgot to ask how many spots were still available, but I don't want to chance waiting until next week. However, on Thursday, I'll be back in Manhattan (not that part, but it wouldn't hurt to swing by), so should I register us then? Get back to me ASAP, please!

Other than that, I had a lot of rest today, so tomorrow I can tackle the room afresh. On deck for this week, and please chew me out if I don't finish this:

•clearing the closet and organizing what should be in there (i.e., my (cosplay) shoes, and maybe my cosplay accessories).
•removing the small vanity that I don't use anyway. There are some books hiding under it, that's all.
•attempting to move furniture!
•pictures of how things look? HOLY CRAP YOU GET TO SEE MY BEDROOM. XD

Remember, Thursday I'm going furniture shopping (not actually buying anything, just going to have a look and price some stuff) so I want to be done with the first two bullets so I can think about where new stuff is going to go. I'm going to need a bookshelf, and a desk/TV stand at the very least (along with no fewer than two chairs). Man, I'm so excited about this crap.

I think I'm gonna get a jumpstart on my homework now, though, so I have the rest of the week to think about the madeup nonsense. :/

Edit, 17 Mar 00:11 - Speaking of nonsense, some people seem to jump through hoops just to be stupid. WOW.
