And here I thought today would be boring.
Mar. 26th, 2009 03:48 pmOf course, work was. And I got my first of eight points today (because I clocked in AND out a little late; I actually clocked in a LOT late because I figured that as long as I was getting the half-point, I might as well take the time to eat my breakfast instead of inhaling it), along with a paystub for :::drumroll::: $30.17. I laughed so hard when I saw that. On the bright side, Kathleen said, in reference to my working one day a week, "that's not gonna happen again." That's kinda yay, because at least I'll get a couple of dollars next week, but kinda sad, because I won't have time to clean. Or be lazy. Awww, my vacation. BTW, here's a picture I took of the notice yesterday, with the date in view, because I still find it completely ridiculous.
Bobby was at work today, and we both quit at two, so we took the train home together. We caught up a bit, and the subject came around to our bedroom makeovers. He gave me a great idea for my room: a loft bed (it's like a bunk bed without the bottom bunk. Bed on stilts)! I'd have to readjust to the bunk bed -- I used to have one when I was eleven and shared the room with my niece -- but I could use the space under it for, say, my computer desk, and a small shelf for my TV and video games. I'd have to rethink everything, but I would also, technically, have more floor space, which amazes me. Yeah, I think this has to be done: I felt the sparkles in my eyes when Bobby gave me the idea. They burned.
( Edit! Okay, here's what I've got, and it ain't much: )
And just a moment ago, Seto gave me a ring to set up an interview. Because Doucheboss was still working on the schedule today -- WHY?! -- I don't know what next week looks like yet. I should tomorrow, though, and I'll get back to him then. It's not a formality, though, it's a real interview, so there's a chance I'll fail it (I probably will, thanks, self-deprecating attitude!). But as I said, what's the worst that could happen? I'm stuck at Michaels for anothereight seven points. XD Big deal.
