Today was kinda fun. Y'know, once I went back to sleep for a little bit. I don't know how I was able to, really.
But anyway. Train was extremely wonky. I knew it was going to be bad from last week's adventure, but I didn't know they would screw it up further! Long story short, I wound up at the Button a half-hour later than I should have. (Tomorrow, I'm going to shoot for a half-hour early so I'll be on time.)
We went to get me some breakfast immediately. XD Breakfast was over at eleven, but we went to fabric stores and almost as immediately found our light-colored fabrics. Awesome! Less than an hour and we were halfway done! Nicole eventually joined us on our journey, but we ran into trouble: it was suddenly difficult to find fabrics for the tunics.
But I did find stuff for Relm in the meantime! *_*
Eventually, we went back to the first stores we ducked into and got stuff there. I felt like an idiot, but we decided to be less picky as the day wore on and settle. I don't like to settle, but sometimes we've got no choice.
Lunch was at GO GO CURRY, and my free toppings coupons were abused. :D
We saw Michele off to Port Authority because she had a wedding to attend. That was one of our main concerns, getting all the fabric before Michele had to go. As it turned out, we had plenty of time!
There was a Radio Shack in Port Authority, and we decided to duck in to look for speakers for ichiP! because we're in dire need. We didn't find much. Not only that, but we couldn't try any of the speakers out to see how loud they would go. Bust. We walked around Midtown, looking for Ricky's, for tights (or spankies) to go with our costumes.
We didn't find Ricky's, but we did see a lot of people sitting on lawn chairs in the middle of the street in Times Square, and a lot of uniformed police in the surrounding area. No, a LOT of uniformed police. We were wondering why, maybe there was some sort of convention? (Coming from us, that's a VALID assumption!) I joked that it was a LOOOOOOOOT of police, and we knew it was a LOOOOOOOOOT of police because they were starting to make white people nervous. Oh, no, wait, I know. A black person got loose. That's all. ZING. (Shut up, it's rare when I make that kind of joke! I'm allowed!) Eventually, our curiosity got the best of us, and Laura asked a cop standing on a corner why there were so many in the city.
President Obama's in town, apparently. Oh shit, a black person did get loose! I CALLED IT! Mystery solved. lolololololol
We never did find Ricky's, but decided to head over to Best Buy on 44th. Not only did I find new earbuds for Michael (BIKE OTP LOLOLOLOLOLOL) but we found our speakers. They're tiny, loud, and only TEN BUCKS, which was half of what we thought we were going to spend! Win!
Eventually, Nicole left on her own, and Laura, Erica and I went to Kino (because we had to peeeeeeeeeeeeeee) and I picked up the Oracle of Ages manga. I have to admit, I was a little wary because of how awful Seasons was, but, like the games, Ages was SO MUCH BETTER. Four Swords comes out in August! *_*
Bryant Park was our last stop and we did a little bit of discreet (discrete? Gosh, I can never remember which is which) dansu before splitting up. The President was coming up Sixth Ave., apparently, and we thought about sticking around to see him pass but then we realized we didn't care. XD
ALSO BESIDES THE PRESIDENT MACKS IS IN TOWN LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL YAY They were totally sittin' next to each other on the plane (and that someone would shoot Max, but it's okay because Max would have saved the President's life! He'd be a hero!!).
After I got home, I called the person who was involved in my dream. I was shaking like a leaf during the conversation, but everything is, apparently, hunky-dory. :::huge sigh of relief::: It drained me, though, and I think I'll have a cup of tea before I head to bed. I'm pretty tired, so I hope I don't have any dreams, since I had such a great day.
HAIL BRITTANIA!
