:::chakki:::
Oct. 5th, 2009 02:07 pmAs I learned on Friday, "chakki," at least that's what it sounded like Akai-sensei said, is the sound that scissors make when they cut something. Summarily, another link has been cut, and the rest of it is dangling by (what I hope is) one last thread. Thank goodness, the sooner I can get this overwith, the BETTER, because it's well overdue.
Unfortunately, I forgot my wallet, so I wasted the one fare on my MetroCard without refilling it, AND I had to walk home (presents a problem for tomorrow morning). I thought it was going to be at least an hour's journey with very heavy books on my back. Good thing for me: today's a nice day with a great breeze, and slung over both shoulders, the books didn't feel as heavy as I thought they would have, not to mention that the walk took just a little more than a half-hour.
Hopefully, I can finish cleaning sometime this evening, too. Then it would be a good day overall. The weekend was, of course, nice and boring. I slept away most of Saturday, as I've been prone to do in recent weeks, and bummed around yesterday (because Monday is cleaning day). So after this brief interlude from walking -- and resting my shoulders -- I'll get back to work. Goodness knows I won't feel like doing anything once my mother comes home and starts being noisy.
Why can't she ever be quiet? >:| Whatever, not a good note to end the post on.
I'm almost done with Wind Waker? Looking for the Triumph Forks (but getting through the Wind Temple was pretty hard, when I reflexively called Makar by an old nickname that --
WTF Nick Jr.? Not content to teach kids Spanish, we're moving on to Chinese? XD (I miss when Nick Jr. was for gradeschoolers, not preschoolers :/ Sesame Street is for that shit. ... I"m gonna finish watching David the Gnome on YouTube later. :3)
