Happy birthday to people who've had/are having birthdays. Too many mid-December babies. Someone's parents were hammered on St. Patrick's Day. I'm just sayin'.

(Other than that, I'm kinda bored. Trying to write, and making a little progress. Over 4000 words, now. No, Olua, it's not for you.)

First of all, WHOA. I was really surprised by the amount of attention yesterday's post received. I didn't know there were that many AG fans on my flist! :O

My brother found another cat -- no, don't worry, he just found it -- stuck on a roof a few blocks away and is determined to rescue it. He tried ringing the bell, knocking, and got nothing, despite a light being on. He got the address of the house and tried calling information to contact the people who live there, various animal rescue places, etc. No dice. And then he recruited me to help. o_o;

He's actually going over there with a ladder now -- a ten-foot ladder, because the six-foot stepladder was too short. Yes, this is his second go -- to try and get the cat down and find its owners. There's a difference between being an animal person and being foolish. This falls into the latter category. :/ It's not even that cold tonight, and there's a section of the roof that's perfectly parallel to the ground. The cat will be fine. Sigh.

(Ah, he's returned. Even the ten-foot ladder is too short.)

In other events, I wonder if the Rangers will win if I stop watching them play. They've not won a single game I've watched. :| (At least they got the one point tonight for taking it to OT, but still.)

That power play happened in the third, tied at two, with just a couple of minutes to go. IN MY DEFENSE, it was the most exciting shit I've seen since I've started watching. I don't know enough to get excited when it's not glaringly obvious. And then

I got my hurrr did today... they gave me a left-side part without asking. It looks dumb, and it keeps falling in my face. Center part tomorrow. THIS IS THE PART THAT DIVIDES THE WINNERS FROM THE LOSERS. /shot
