No, for real this time. This group worked out!
Short recap post because I don't even remember what we did, other than scream at the top of our lungs for seven hours. The other group did the same, with some of the same songs, some different ones, and double for cosplayers. XD
( American Idiot, White and Nerdy, I Feel Pretty, YMCA )
People started taking their leaves rather early, around four or five, so we weren't a large group for very long (largeish. We had to break up into two, remember; the other group was at 48th St.). Whoever stuck around left at eight, and most people went straight into the train station right there. I walked with Ariel and Mario (Chile) to Penn Station, then back to meet Esmeralda and her party at Kino. By the time I got there -- fucking slippery ass-snow -- only she, Mar, and Sage were left. The four of us headed to the movies to see The Princess and the Frog (after getting grabbing a bite. Beef bowl FTMFW).
The movie was pretty good, I really enjoyed the music (and the creole thrown in fufufu). The story... could have been better. The art was nice. I liked when the styles changed. :D My favorite character died. AGAIN. This always happens.
Esmeralda and I went to the train together, the end. Took a pretty decent amount of time to get home considering the amount of snow that's on the ground. It's ridiculous. Whenever the weather forecasters say "WE GON' GIT SNOW!" I just brush it off, because the city's warmer than the rest of the area, and even if a foot is forecasted, we usually see an inch. They got it right today, though. :/ By the time I got home, it was at my knees. I can hardly see out of my window, but I think it's still falling. It's been more than thirteen hours now: it had just started to flurry when I got to Duet about a quarter after one.
On the bright side, I don't have to leave the house again until Tuesday around noon -- going into work late because there's a late orientation -- and by then the snow will have started to melt or otherwise clear, or at the very least freeze over, but still give a surface to walk on. It's not cold, either. I mean, it is a little, but it's not absolutely frigid in here, even with the heaters off for now. Still, I doubt I'll be leaving the comfort of my bed for at least ten hours. :D
