HOLD UP WAIT A MINUTE
May. 28th, 2010 10:58 amWASHINGTON — The [House of Representatives'] 234-194 vote to overturn the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy reflected a view among many in Congress that America was ready for a military in which gays and straights can stand side by side in the trenches. I don't usually post about politics and junk but this is pretty amazing. I'm super excited about that. Thanks, reddit. ♥
ALSO, UPDATE. I've become everything I hate: I got another good grade and I'm bitching about it. That grade is an A-, by the way. Please gut me and hang me by my own entrails while I'm still alive, because I don't appreciate this. |D
I got the A- in physics, by the way. I'd cartwheel if that were philosophy. But yeah, my stupid labs brought me down, and if it weren't for that ASSHOLE, I'd've gotten an A. Sigh. Beggars can't be choosers, though, so I'll take it. Because physics weighs more than writing, I'm down to a 3.83, but that's not bad for someone who still has no real motivation to finish school, huh?
And if you missed the edit of my last post, Mets've won five in a row against the Yankees and the Phillies, and have shut the Phillies out the entire series. The last time they blanked a team the entire series? September '69. Coincidentally, it was the Phillies then, too. That waiting was worth the awesome game. Jose went 3-for-4 with a 2-RBI double, with a stellar leaping catch to end the game; Jason drove in the first run; Angel was pulling some crazy defense, and BIG PELF went seven innings with 5 Ks (I'd've given him the 8th; he looked to handle the 7th okay but Pedro got it done). I'm Metsed out today, with my shirt and my visor and my socks and my wristband. Guys, why don't I have any Mets buttons or phone charms? That needs to be remedied. But here's to hoping the luck carries over onto the road, because they'll need it.
FUCK YEAH TO EVERYTHING
